the next flu vaccine scandal

Nurses COVID

The are reporting on CNBC that a bunch of Wall Street companies got H1N1 vaccine in, enough to vaccinate all their employees. I have yet to see a writen news report on the subject yet so I am not sure it is true and am no sure of the details.

Specializes in Too many to list.

The TV news just showed footage of dogs getting their form of vaccine (I forget if there's a 6 and 2, or where they're placed in the name), which I sure hope wasn't manufactured ahead of that for humans. They said the cost is $18 and dogs have no immunity to the novel flu.

That would be H3N8, a virus that jumped species from horses to dogs. Always troubling when viruses jump species...

What I remember about this virus is the publicity surrounding it because it was infecting

race horses. Later when it jumped species, it was found in another racing animal,

the greyhound.

It has not jumped to humans but it is good to know that there is a vaccine now available.
