Hi!

Has anyone applied to the uconn cein for 2015? The first application deadline was Jan 31st. If you did apply have you heard anything yet??

I'm just anxious to find out.

I applied this past month. I haven't heard anything, and I don't really expect to until at the very least the end of February. Which campus did you apply for, waterpeace13?

My first choice is Waterbury, second storrs

Just got my acceptance letter for the Waterbury campus! Good luck everyone!

Just got the letter yesterday I was accepted to Storrs!!! Good luck to everyone and congrats to everyone accepted!

Is anyone still waiting to hear? I still haven't heard yet.

Still no letter. Congrats to those who are in. Those who are in you care to share stats so we know how we stack up? (GPA, significant experiences, etc). Thanks!

My GPA was about a 3.6 for my bachelors. I got mostly A's, with a few B's in the pre-reqs. I don't have much clinical experience (never worked as a CNA etc.). I still haven't heard anything.

I got in with a BS in Allied Health Sciences, GPA of 3.5, and pre-reqs that were all As except for one B+. I don't have any clinical experience, but I just became an EMT in December and am planning on spending this year riding with an ambulance service.

My undergraduate GPA was closer to a 2.0 than a 3.0 (!!!), however, I had a 4.0 for my prerequisites (around 45-50 credits). I think I made a good case in terms of demonstrating how I had figured out what I wanted to do with my life and then worked incredibly hard to get there. Also, when I went back to school to complete my prereqs, I spent a ton of time developing strong relationships with my teachers and employers, and they wrote me some truly fantastic recommendations. UConn was one of the few schools I spoke with that did not discourage me from applying (Fairfield was the other). I think they have a pretty enlightened admission philosophy, at least as far as nursing schools are concerned.

I'm hoping for a letter when I get home. I've been away on vacation for the last week. I am anxious due to my undergrad GPA. But I'm hoping that like NorthwestCT my experience as a paramedic and good recommendations get me a spot

I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm also guessing they'll bump me into the next round because I'm currently taking prereqs. :/
