Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2012

U.S.A. Connecticut

Published

ooops... The other one had 2011 instead of 2012... let's try this again:

Just thought I would start a new thread for the current application cycle. Questions... stats... rumors... etc!

My question is... for those applying this cycle, how did you do on the TEAS V? Since this is the first year they are using this test, it would be nice to see how everyone is doing.

(Please don't post TEAS 3 or TEAS 4 results, as the scores are NOT comparable with the TEAS V.)

Oh yikes! Gotcha...I hope you get it straightened out soon enough...it was stressful enough waiting for the acceptance letter lol! Good luck!!!

Okay guys... my NVCC people, I just signed up for nursing 101 for the 8:30am lecture! Try registering again! If it doesn't work, wait maybe until tomorrow, but I would make sure the school got your letter of intent!

And for everyone when you do sign up for classes, make sure you pay those fees right away! And make sure your tuition is paid or you have a payment plan in place.. Because if you don't pay.. You will loose your seat! So please, please pay the fees ASAP!

@CNAnursingstudent: Congrats!!!!!! you're the first one!!!!!!!!!!!! I just tried and I cant :( I won't be online until later today, I'll try then again! did your major change? We will be classmates if I get in the 8.30am class :) I'm so excited for you :) one step closer to becoming a nurse!!! haha

So it says you can begin registering April 25th? and the deadline to register is June 1st? So you have a month then right?

the NVCC form says APRIL 25th!!! and the deadline to register is June 1st

@nursewannabe yay! Thank you and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can sign up! Yes my major changed I just looked. It says next to program and major: Nursing - CT - CCNP

I'm amusing it's not gonna take too long hopefully by the end of the day. I believe it's our advisors that are making the changes, so it would be done quicker. So I assume the school got my letter of intent. Don't stress out, just keep trying to register!

Yay, well at least we know they are working on changing our majors. Mine still says general studies, so I can't register yet.

Hallelujah, I'm registered:w00t: Almost surreal seeing nursing as my major, been a long time coming:)

Going Friday to get my titers done and I need to sign up for a cpr course, what else am I missing?

Yay! Congrats @allforthekids! Woot woot! I just got my blood drawn today for my titers and may 23rd I have an appt for my physical to take care of everything else. Are you getting the flu shot?

yay I was able to register as well! I can't even believe seeing my major being "Nursing" haha I have to get used to it!

@CNAnursingstudent @allforthekids, I'm glad it worked for you as well :) what class did you sign up for @alforthekids? I signed up for 8.30

Mine still says general studies. I was told to hang tight until Friday - - if it hasn't changed, I should call or email them. This is for CCC

@allforthekids:

did you sign up for the CPR/AED course at the red cross? that's what I did! I'm not sure if that's the right one.

other than that you still need to do:

- shots (if any)

- blood titers

-background check

- cpr

- physical

- drug test (I don't know when/where, we will get another letter)

- don't miss orientation on May 30th, right?

I think that's it for now. Try to do the blood, physical and CPR as soon as possible so you don't forget, and we will be getting another letter regarding the background test, drug test, and orientation (we will be ordering our uniforms at the meeting).

hope that helps :)
