I plan to continue after my ASN to my BSN from Elms College so I'm working on required courses for that program as well.

I look forward to getting to know others who are going through the process! Enjoy the day!

Am I the only one here who applied to NCC?

I am nervous because two things (composition and computers) are still "missing" from my checklist. Yet they have my transfer records and the results of my computer exemption test. Is anyone else having this issue? I'd feel better it if it wasn't just me. Debating going down to CCC to bug them. I feel good about my stats, so long as they process things correctly: 88.5 on Teas, A in A&P and 4.0 GPA. I took the computer test to cancel out a C from 12 years ago when I took Intro to Programming. It's so stupid that they take Programming as an equivalent to an Intro to Software Applications- they are not the same. I would have retaken the class but my advisor assured me the exemption test would be enough. But now I am nervous about it!!

I'd be nervous too. I hate to say it, but if the thing hasn't been updated now, over a month from the deadline, you might be eliminated by not having all your stuff in.

I emailed her and the general email address as well. Thanks for replying- I think I needed to hear from someone else that my worries are worth bugging them! Everyone else I talk to has said, don't worry, it'll be fine. But this is my future they are talking about!! I can't take a chance. I thought though they would be sending that letter in March if things were missing to give you a chance to contest- thats what my advisor said- there is apparently a form you fill out if you want to petition anything.

You know its wierd though, my transcripts just showed up last week, so I think they are still processing things. I submitted everything on November 1, so its not like I was last minute with getting things in. I had emailed my advisor back around Feb. 1 and he told me not to worry about the computer test- that he forwarded the reults to the admissions office. Ill see if she writes back. I will not hesitate all to fight this if they didnt process things correctly. I know for a fact I submitted everything correctly.

Well, that's not comforting. I just got an autoreply/out of office message from ***********************. I guess I know what I am doing during my lunch hour today! Time to trek over to CCC!

That is true to a certain extent. IF you can prove that you had everything in on time, they will reconsider. If all you have is your word against theirs, they won't.

Print those emails between you and the advisor and bring them! I wouldn't let this go any longer if I were you! Like you said-this is your future! You shouldn't have to wait another year just because someone didn't do what they said they would. One of my college transcripts were not showing up on Feb 1 as received, so I called the admissions office at NV to make sure they had received it. I got the generic "Im sure it's here, we have a lot of papers to go through" and I would not get off the phone until I knew 100% that they had my transcript. So, I was put on hold and then she came back and said they had it, but still needed to enter it. Don't leave until they give you a real answer-and see if you can get it in writing or some kind of hard proof.

Oh, and if you read previous year's threads-it seems like this kind of stuff is typical for CCC.

Well if my transcripts are showing up as received on May 8, 2011 and February 23, 2011, and the composition and computer classes are on those transcripts, I think its safe to say I made it in time for the Feb. 1, 2013 cutoff. But still I am going over there in a few because I'd rather be safe then sorry.

This is why I left nothing to chance. I ordered transcripts and brought them to nvcc myself. And made sure I had everything in on January 31.

Well I feel better. I spoke with Admissions and my fears are eased! I also heard back from **********, and was told the same thing. Right now, they are reviewing the applications, inputting all the transfer classes and calculating the nursing GPA. No one is being tossed out yet. We will all receive a letter whether we have missing items or not shortly. We can still contest any problems so long as we did everything correctly on our end- meaning we submitted the documentation correctly and timely. As my transcripts are officially entered, I have nothing to worry about. Additionally, I was told that they should be finishing the review at the end of next week. Bottom line, if you submitted everything correctly, and the records are showing up on the checklist, then they have your stuff. As for the computer test, they have a list in the admissions office from the advisors, and since I have proof that it was sent in by my advisor, then I can be assured I am on the list. So, for now, I am going to stop worrying and just be patient!!

Thanks everyone for your feedback. We have made it this far, we can make it another 6 weeks!! :woot:

The anxiety of waiting is the worst.

Nvcc answered me today. No official word on applicants as they're eliminating the late entries now. Will know soon enough though
