Getting ready to apply: CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2013

Good morning!

I am a current LPN working on pre-requisites for application to the CCC-NP for Fall 2013!

I'm taking most of my courses at Holyoke Community College and hope to transfer to Northwestern Connecticut Community College.

So far I have completed:

Nutrition 101- A

English Comp and Lit (6 credit course)- A

Biology w/ Lab- A

Math 085- A

This summer I am taking:

Intro to Psych

Math 095

This fall I am taking:A&P I

Chemistry

Computer Apps

Human Development

During the winter intersession I will take:Sociology

Spring 2013:

A&P II

Statistics

Microbiology

Public Speaking

On my list of things to do:

-Attend Nursing Information Session

-Take TEAS-V

I plan to continue after my ASN to my BSN from Elms College so I'm working on required courses for that program as well.

"Couple hundred" is too vague, if it was around 200 most people are in great shape I wish they would give an accurate number.

NCC had about 250.

Also there's a lot of people who don't qualify that are included in the number of applicants. So I would take about 50 away from the total number.

Does anyone know how many applicants at naugatuck? Im driving myself crazy with checking mycommnet for any updates or changes. This waiting period is terrible.

I would just feel better knowing everything arrived and was checked in. Does anyone know at what point they might update commnet with that information? If I'm denied because I wasn't good enough, ok, that would stink, but it's better than being denied because something got lost or never processed. *sigh*

I know exactly what you mean. I also applied to BHSN, & they sent me a Applicant User Id & password so I can track my application which is currently under review I wish The CTCC-NP would do the same thing.

Does anyone have any updates on their nursing link on commnet? If they do it alphabetically, I am "B" and there are no updates from NV :(

Mine starts with "A" and NCC hasn't done mine yet either.

It's March 1st people!!! Just a little over a month to go before those letters go out! I can't believe it is this close already! I applied on the first possible day to submit the application....back in November! Can't wait! Good luck to everyone!
