wow 80-90 people? that seems to be alot compared to the other schools i checked out. some schools only allowed 20 people into their program. I have a meeting on monday with them so i'm going to see how that goes.

Once I finish with the LPN program I'm bridging over to RN. I'm excited overall.

Yeah, it is rather large. But I know it will start to thin out as we go.

    Goodluck with the meeting!

Hello my fellow ct tech lpn student,
I know I've been away for a while but we are on spring vacation this week so I have some free time. How is everything going for you guys? We (hartford) started our clinicals from March 15th. It is really good to get the hands on experiences. I am already a CNA, but I work in an assisted living. Where my clinical is, is totally a different environment than what I am used to. The type of residents are different, but I truely enjoy it.

I received it however, it wouldnt let me reply But anyway, my question was about financial aid. How did that work for you? I understand this program is really expensive. Were they helpful? I had a financial aid appt and now I have to re-think attending this program

Yeah it is very expensive. I was able to go through Sallie Mae for a loan that I don't have to worry about until 6 months after I graduate, so by then I will most likely have a job in the field making decent money. I pay 25 bucks a month while in school which isn't too bad. I know it will be a hassle paying back the tuition, but I know somehow I will get it done - I'm not too worried.

I hope you can work it out with financial aid, were you able to qualify for any grants or Sallie Mae student loans?

Yes, It is very expensive. Yes I did get approved for the loans however, its super expensive in my opinion. My fear is spending all that money and coming out of the program without a job which is possible because I know someone in that position and being stuck with all that debt. I dont qualify for financial aid just loans which is crazy. I have no idea... I'm looking into RN programs and CC that offer the RN program before I make a decision. This is tough
