  1. Hello Toni0929, I also passed my NCLEX back in August and job hunting has been good for me. I started working in July before obtaining my license and now I'm accepting a new position at another location. Many of the girls that were in school with me are having a difficult time finding work. Hope all is well with you
  2. Did u take the NCLEX?
  3. Mine is on June 15 ?so glad it's finally coming to an end. Congrats Tee1978!
  4. Wondering if anyone started the countdown to graduation so excited!! ☺
  5. Hey Toni0929, I also passed:yeah:I officially started the count down to the end of the semester:) We only have the Pharmacology and Fundamentals of Nursing finals... Wishing you a wonderful summer:) Keep in touch..
  6. Yeah, we are taking the BIO final this week and everyone is really worried. My average is okay but with that said I'm very worried as well. I've been studying very hard and hope to pass at least with a B... I hope we all do great! Keep me posted, I will let you know as well.. Take care:)
  7. Hello Everyone attending the state LPN Program:nurse: How is it going? I'm attending the program at Bullard Havens and the amount of work that we get it's ridiculous. We get about 3-4 quizzes a week and an overload of HW. I started clinicals in March and so far so good. This week we have a cumalitive exam on Human Biology on 16 chapters and it's indeed very overwhelming for all the students. Hope everyone is doing well, hope to hear from you all soon:) ****Can't wait till June 16th the end of the first semester!!!
  8. Hello Everyone, I'm also very excited about starting the LPN program next week but nervous as hell. I resigned from my full time job at BPT Hosp to follow my dream, so I really hope I made the right decision. I have two more textbooks to purchase and I'll be done:yeah:the textbooks were so expensive!! Was anyone told at orientation about wearing different color scrubs during theory? We were told at Bullard that we are not allowed to wear regular clothes for theory and a letter will be mailed out this week indicating the scrub colors that can be worn. Apparently, we are using the Olive scrubs and the lab coats for clinicals only. Hope everyone has a successful semester!!!
  9. The CPR information I have available is being held at Bullard Havens Technical school on Dec 16 and January 13. I'm pretty sure the school you've been accepted too will have their own dates. You should contact them. I will actually take the CPR class at my place of employment (Bpt Hospital) on Monday, December 13. They have two sessions 8:30am-11:30am or 1pm-4pm the cost is $75 for non employees. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you the contact information.
  10. I'm not a returning student. I actually have taken some of the classes they require so I don't have to purchase some of the textbooks. However, the amount I quoted $250.00 was a mistake. I actually reviewed the paperwork and it's about $912.89. I apologize for getting everyone all hyped up My mind was all quacky when I received the forms. I contacted the lady regarding my F.A status and she said I should receive something in the mail. Has anyone received anything yet?
  11. For those who are looking for deals for the LPN textbooks, visit bookbytes.com
  12. I received my list on Saturday. You get information on the books, CPR classes, uniforms and physical examination form. The books are pretty reasonable for the semester, I believe it adds up to $250. You also have three payment options for tuition which I think is great for those who need more time to pay and will not be getting FA. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. :)
  13. I still haven't received anything I will give it until this evening. If not, I will contact the school tomorrow. Will keep everyone updated.
  14. Thanks Toni0929 for giving me the info for the CPR class. I actually work at BPT hosp and found out they offer CPR/AED classes here for employees :) I registered to take the class mid December. I'm glad we are finally going to receive information on books and supplies next week. I'm so excited :heartbeat Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone:hrnsmlys:
  15. Not yet... We might receive something after Thanksgiving break. Has anyone taken their CPR for Healthcare providers class yet? I wonder if the school will provide us with a listing of places. I found info at the Red Cross website but I'm unable to attend the two days that are being offered.
