Ways to pay for nursing school as a c.n.a

I am looking for a c.n.a job in a Denver area hospital and am wondering which hospital(s) are the best for helping pay for nursing school?

While many facilities has tuition reimbursement....there are none that will pay for your school. The economic climate right now and the surplus of nurses out there, especially new grads, these programs really do not exist.

Actually, that's not true. The hospital where I work (in Missouri) has a program that pays up to $4000 per year on top of their normal tuition reimbursement for nursing students. You do have to sign a commitment to work for the hospital 1 year for every year they pay for, otherwise you have to pay the money back. Don't get discouraged, many hospitals still do this. When you consider the number of hospitals in the US and then the numbers of those that offer tuition reimbursement and then consider the ones that offer additional assistance to students the number is very small. Not so many years a go it was a recruitment attraction for full tuition reimbursement for new grads to come to work for a year......this is nothing but memory. Now in many markets it is difficult for a new grad to get a job...let alone one that will pay for school.

Actually I know many if not all the hospitals here in TN and GA give tuition reimbursements. I'm getting it for my pre reqs and for nursing school while I'm a PCT. So its out there.

$4000 isn't bad, especially if your getting financial aid and are getting your pre-reqs at a community college. I know Yale offers this as well. My goal is to get in there!

reimbursements isn't payment for school.. It helps. Like anything else it's location location location.
