Interview on Tuesday!!! HELP!

I just got my first-ever callback for an interview for a CNA position at a LTC facility. It's on Tuesday at 10:30 and about a half-hour from my house.

Tips on interviews? I don't know who's interviewing me or anything and I've never (EVER) done an interview before.

HELP MEEEEE I'm dying

PS - Oh, I got licensed last September and am finally looking for a job due to a flood in my house - I gotta work to help pay to keep it.

Should I review skills and stuff?

They're probably not going to test you on your skills :) but they might ask what you would do in certain situations with agitated residents (approach from the front, be calm and friendly, acknowledge the resident's emotions and attempt to redirect).

I remember being asked about my weaknesses and I said something like, "I'm not confident about blood pressures because we didn't get enough practice in class." I think that was good because they said oh no big deal you use a machine most of the time anyway.

If they ask about past job experiences let them know you are a hard worker, organized, good with customer service, can play nice with your coworkers, etc. That's what they want.

I declined a lot of LTC positions for hospital positions I think you'll be fine just have some faith :)

Like fuzzywuzzy posted, you will probably be given a scenario and asked how you would handle it. Be confident and if you don't know the answer, admit it. Don't bs your way

To update - I don't know if I got that job or not (don't care too much at this point) but I am going in to another place I had connections at (a rehab/LTC facility) and I'm copying my cards this afternoon and she's already talking orientation, so I'm guessing I got the job via whom I know!

SO EXCITED. Gonna start reviewing skills. ;3 Only gonna get like 3 days orientation.
