I passed both my written and clinical on Monday.

How many days until I can get my license number online or receive my license in the mail?

:) Thanks!

The what does "certified" mean? Maryland licenses them. And they're slow as heck processing the applications. Took 4 months to get mine, and it took a few phone calls to make it happen. I hope Florida treats you well, OP, and congratulations on passing!

What you have c&p is the process for becoming certified, but many states do require becoming licensed after being certified. It's akin to going through an ADN program, and then applying for your license. The certification for a CNA is what the associates degree is for the LPN. It is the education required before applying for licensure.

Eta: it's confusing, I'll admit, and can be ambiguous considered a person can be an assistant without becoming certified or licensed. Depending on your state, it can simply be a formality that gets you an extra dollar an hour.

Whether you want to call it licensed or certified or whatever, you get a paper "license" similar to an RN's with a card attached and you become registered on the Florida board of Nursing. I was registered maybe a day or two afterwards. I received my "paper" about 3 weeks later, I believe.
