CNA Skills & Written

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Hello I'm gonna challenge the CNA Skills & Written exam in California, how many questions is on there? And what Skills is needed to perform? And what skills should I know or a good site to learn the skills? Thank u in advance for ur guys replies!

what do you mean challanging? have you taken a CNA class, or are you a RN student taking your cna states test?

I am not sure if it is the same in every state, but for MI the written was around 60 questions and as for skills there are 3 random skills out of 19 that you will be tested on. Plus hand washing skill. You will be evaluated on How well you do the skills and your indirect care.

If you go to youtube there is a set of videos from 4yourcna that does a wonderful job at showing you the skills and how they should be performed

It depends on who the test provider is. Generally 60 questions and about 15 skills you need to know. As far as I'm concerned you can be the greatest CNA in the world but if it's not the state board way on test day it'll be a fail. Just do everything exactly as they specify in the testing manual and you'll be good!

If you are going to challenge it, I would recommend getting the book they would be testing you out of to review. For example, the Red Cross handbook for CNA's would be your go to in California.
