Nursing Students CNA/MA

Hi, I was looking to see if anyone can help me. I am trying to search online about the CNA program at La Guardia COmmunity COllege, does anyone know if the CNA at this school is good or has a good reputation? How about the passing rate for the certification? Maybe some of you attended their CNA program, I would appreciate any response. Thanks so much..

You can find out the passing and failing rates of every CNA school. It is public record online under the department of health. I wish I had known this prior, as I would of chosen a different school after I saw my school's results :( Luckily I passed, but not because of the training I received (I studied and learned the skills on my own after I passed the class) Good luck.

Hello, I am also looking for information on CNA programs in NYC. As Paws2people said, there are public records of passing and failing rates of students in each program. I was able to find this: https://www.prometric.com/en-us/clients/nurseaide/documents/new-york/3rdQTRPassRates2013.pdf

LaGuardia CC is listed. Best of luck!

Yup Prometric. They administer the test in NY. Their website also has the skill's test check points. Basically what that means is what the RN is "grading you on" for each skill. You can print it out and use it to practice.

Hi, I took a Phlebotomy class at LaGuardia and I loved it. I wish I had taken the CNA course there too. I took it at York and it was HORRIBLE. Very bad experience. I still have not taken test at Prometrics because I do not feel ready. Phlebotomy is great but CNA is the certificate that gets you the job right away. Eventually I will be taking the EKG class but I don't have time because I taking pre-nursing classes. Sorry i cannot give you more info on the CNA class but I would say LaGuardia is a safe choice.

Thank you all for your insights.. one more thing though,I checked the prometrics website and I coudn't find laguardia cc on the list?! I looked at it like 5 times but there really is no laguardia cc on the list.. what does that mean?? Does it mean no one took the CNA certificate exam?
