Best American Healthcare University

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I came across this online and face-to-face school that provides a variety of training. Specifically, I'm looking at their online acute care class:

Best American Healthcare University - Acute Care CNA Certification

I already have my CNA, but many of the hospital jobs in my town want "CNA Acute Care Training." None of the schools (we have a major university, a CC, and a tech school) within my general vicinity provide that type of class. All that do are at least 30 minutes to an hour away. This course provides acute care training, along with an EKG and patient care tech certification, and it's all online. Is anybody familiar with the course and/or the school?

Thanks!

Not familiar at all but just in my personal opinion the name and overall cheap layout of this school just screams stay away. Plus......$1,500 for the course?! dang that is almost the cost of getting your CNA in the first place. In all honesty I would look into being willing to drive 30 minutes away for a local class, but again this is just all my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. I definitely was getting some sketchy vibes from it, that's why I thought I'd ask and see if anybody had gone through their program. I've looked and actually the closest thing to "acute care CNA training" is a 6 week hospital clinical program, which is 2 hours from me.

I looked around and ATI offers a study packet for the state EKG tech certification. Much cheaper than the class by far.

Always check the reviews for anything you're planning spending money on, just google them. Plus I heard hospitals want acute care experience NOT necessarily training alone

Just thought I would come back and update this thread-- I ended up deciding against the acute care training. I also did get hired at the local hospital without the additional training :)
