Transferring to Chamberlain

Hey guys. I'm interested in transferring into Chamberlain after doing some classes at a community college. I plan to at least take English, Math, Psychology, Anatomy, Chemistry, and a Humanities class while there. Hopefully this lowers the cost by a bit. I'm also gonna try my best to score a scholarship or two -- it's an expensive school!

I was wondering what classes you transferred in and your experience with the school thus far. Do you like the program or you regret going and wish you went with a state university? I'm just nervous I won't be a good candidate to employers because of where I got my degree or being accepted to an NP program.

When I did the RN-to-BSN (not entirely the same, but similar) I transferred in Honors Composition (English), Conversational German (Humanities), Probabilities and Statistics (Math, also because it was stats they waived any algebra requirements), Medieval History (History elective), and Rise of the West: 1500-1789 (Elective, history). I only had to take an upper-level sociology course with my BSN classes as well as a two-credit class to meet the minimum of 32 credits to complete the BSN.

I did the RN-to-BSN program and transferred in Honors English Comp I & II, College Algebra, Calculus, Honors Humanities, Political Science, Statistics, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Psychology and then I was given credits for my RN completion/NCLEX. I only had to take 13 courses to finish my BSN, which I did 3 semesters (6 sessions). I could have finished quicker, but I only took one course in the July session, so I could go on vacation easily. It really kept the cost down, transferring in credits :)

So you went to Chamberlain for your BSN? When I went to their open house they said you don't get to choose how many courses to take. Also, if you did go there, were you already an RN and that is why it only took you 3 semesters or you were already licensed?

Yes, as I stated in my original post, I was given credit for passing NCLEX (hence, I was already an RN). I did the RN-to-BSN program. If you're not already an RN, you may have different admission & transfer credit criteria.
