Sacramento Spring 2018

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Hello all,

I was starting this post to see if anyone else were applying to the Spring 2018 semester at the Sacramento campus.

I have taken my Hesi and am anxiously awaiting for the committee meeting!

I have finished a few prerequisites (such as math, English, history, sociology & psychology, etc.)

I have not yet taken any science courses but am hoping to do if I get in this upcoming semester.

If anyone on here is attending this campus, or is applying please let me know how your experience has been so far with the program in Sac.

Hello! I was accepted to the Spring semester at Sac. So far the process has been great. Katharine has been great at answering any questions I have and even though I feel like I am emailing her and bothering her too often, she has been nothing but sweet and very quick at getting back to me. She called me the day of the committee meeting and let me know that I was in. It was about a week after they received my official transcripts that they told me which of my classes transferred. I am going next Wednesday to meet with student services for my background check, drug test, and fingerprinting. That's about my only experiences so far, but if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer :)

What were your gpa's and HESI score? I'm hoping to apply for either May or August

I completed all my prereqs at a community college and my GPA was 3.6 and my HESI was 94%

Congrats, that's great! I was informed that I got in as well.

I still have to get all the documents signed before I can schedule the pre-enrollment meeting.

Since they were able to tell you the classes that transferred over, did they go over the financial part with you? Or is that something you will talk about at the meeting next Wednesday?

My gpa was a 3.5 and I scored a 87% on the HESI. However, I haven't taken my science courses yet.

Congrats!! I bet we will have some classes together :) Great scores too!

They have sent me my financial aid award and did a brief financial counseling over the phone where they weren't over my financing options and how to obtain scholarships, but the main meeting to talk about the finances will be on Wednesday.

Awesome! When do you guys start? I'm desperately waiting to hear back if my 52 credits from trade schools are accepted for the gpa because my high school gpa was 2.66(12 years ago) so I have my fingers crossed otherwise I have to take one more semester at my community college and then I most likely wouldn't be able to start until next year

Hey there! I have been accepted for the January start date! I'm meeting with them next week for enrollment.

Congrats Sookie!

Inae - have you had your student services meeting yet? What classes are they having you take your first semester? They have me taking Transition to Nursing (I requested the 9am class), Statistics, and I think the third one was Lifespan Development. I will only be on campus m/w from 9-11 so I am pretty happy that I get to keep my current job and continue working full time!

Congrats! My meeting is next week also, I'm so excited to enroll into classes! Will you be transferring any pre-reqs over?

That's awesome! I'm hoping I will be able to do the same. If not, hopefully still be able to work part time (at least). My meeting is next week so I will let you know more then.

About enrolling into your classes, so I am guessing that you can move those prerequisite classes (that are placed in the last year of the program) to your first session of the program?
