Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Hello to all my fellow RN to BSN students. Just wandering if anyone is in there first semester of the online program. I am currently taking Transition and Sociology and it seems to be going ok, however this is the first week. Anyone graduate from the program and can give some good advise for future classes.

Just make sure you keep up with your weekly posts - I had to force myself to NOT procrastinate! Managing your time is half the battle. Good luck!

THANK YOU so much for responding. I will keep that in mind. My goal is to try to post by monday each week. I find the classes to be just research and writing, not to bad so far.

So I have written many APA papers but I am getting confused on how my instructor is wanting us to post to discussion's. Basically she asked a question and then we have to research the question and it seems as if we write someone else's work and then reference it. Frustrating trying to figure it all out. Many of my friend's have told me I will be fine and they got through it but man it is driving me nuts lol. I am sure I will be ok. Got only the nursing classes to take and 3 electives because I had almostr everything else.

Specializes in Emergency.

Use the rubrics. Just go right down the column under "A" and give them what they ask for, no more/no less.

I found that the program PERRLA (perrla.com) was very helpful for learning APA formatting. It is super helpful for organizing references! It's not free, but it's yours for life and will update with each new edition of the APA Manual. It was the 5th edition when I started my RN-BSN. I don't need the program much now because I'm so familiar with APA at this point, but it is still awesome for reference organization. Disclaimer: I am not a paid spokesperson for PERRLA. ;)
