Does anyone know how flexible Chamberlain Jacksonville camp. is with financial aid???

Hey I am wondering if anyone goes to Chamberlain school of nursing and knows how tough they are with financial aid or if they actually work for you?? I qualify for full aid but my amt is used up for this academic year due to the bobo school ive wasted 6 months at to find out that their rn program isnt accredited by anything that relatively counts. So tomorrow im going to go apply at chamberlain and pay the app fee and test fee... im just really worried about the financial aid issue.. the class im applying for starts July 6.. Do they work with you or are they really strict? Also what is the essay like???? Does anyone know anything about this program at this campus? Id love ALL of the info I can get...

I dont know If I am accepted yet but I am in the same boat as you financial aid wise, I used all mine up at JU then got waitlisted for the BSN program :eek:. So I am looking into Chamberlian hopefully I can get in, also looking into Concorde but am very nervous about their accreditation. Well wish me luck I hopefully will be a student there in the fall

Are you currently enrolled at chamberlain? I will be starting in Oct, and like you I am in the same boat with the financial aid. All the private loans that I looked into I will need a co-signer. Stafford loans alone will not be enough. Any suggestions would be great!

I may be wrong but if I remember correctly you could always ask that they increase your loan amount. All student loans are regulated by the govt now and every student has a max loan amount of $35,000(?) for undergrad education. So if you havent reached that amount yet just tell the financial aid office to increase your amount.

The money comes from the govt, not the school so they cant tell you "no". All they do is fill out the paperwork and submit it to the govt. The school only controls grants that are specific to the school.

Federal GRANTS on the other hand are set to a standard amount and the student has no say so in those.
