I was wondering if anyone has been accepted into this program. I just took the HESI and received a 84% and I have 3.235 GPA. Should I be worried that I'm not going to make it in to the program at all?... Read More

    Hi raqi89,
I am applying to the Chicago campus. I studied only the TEAS V book to take the TEAS exam for the City College of Chicago. I passed the TEAS and I went for the HESI exam after 2 weeks because I prefer to have BSN since I had taken alot of classes. Dont worry too much about the math. But their study guide and go through everything. Make sure you go through your biology and AP 1&2. Review your chemistry as well. The English was not bad as well. I will be applying soon and I hope we will start together in summer.

    Thanks Flockyman!
So would you say that the HESI is pretty similar to the TEAS? I have the TEAS V study guide book from ATI and I also just bought the HESI admission assessment exam review edition 3. What did you score on the HESI? I know we need to score 75% or higher. Good Luck to you and yess hopefully we do start together!!

You are welcome raqi89. Well, I guess HESI is pretty much easier than TEAS. It wont hurt to go through the 2 books. I had 82% on the test.. I did very good on AP, biology and Chemistry because I took those courses already. I cant wait to apply..when do you plan taking your exam?

I've taken biology, both A&P I and II ,chemistry, and am currently taking Micro. I guess I will take it within the next few weeks since I just sent out my application today. I was already told if i get in I would be done in 2 years and 4 months which is really exciting because I feel like I've been in college for EVER now ! So you're just waiting to hear back from them?

Great, I didn't see any question from microbiology. Well, I felt like I have been in college forever myself. I will apply in few weeks. I need to get my transcripts ready. Where are you taking microbiology?

To me the hesi was much easier than the teas test. The hesi test was basic math and teas was more advanced to me.

Thanks! That kinda helps me out a bit. I've done really good in the math portion of the TEAS its the science and reading/grammar part I'm worried about. I will be studying from the study guide tho, so we'll see

My only problem was English. I wish you best of luck. Let know if you have more question. I will let you know when I put in my application and the result.
