Time off Before School Starts

  1. I am starting my CRNA program at the end of August...I need to let my NM know my last day...should I take a vacation for a week or two to mentally prepare myself for school? I had planned on working right up until a couple of days before, but am now reconsidering...maybe a few days at home would be nice to clear my mind before school!

I start school at the end of August as well. My last day of work is July 27, and I am counting the days!!! I would take as much time as you can. An extra month of borrowing $$ will make no difference in the long run, but the time off will!

I'm going to Hawaii for a week before school starts at the end of August, and then I'll be doing a 3 day big game fishing trip off San Diego. I'm packing my last weeks of freedom in before the first day of class. Take advantage of whatever free time you have before school starts.
    Play hard--work hard! :spin:

I was curious to know what school will you be attending?

If you've never been to Europe, I highly recommend it. A backpacking trip from hostel to hostel could be a fun and contemplative way to prepare yourself for a lot of sitting and studying.

...Or maybe you're more of a beach person.

I have heard about these hostels, where can I find out more about them?

    Thanks in advance

Try globalfreeloaders.com, it's a great way to see the world without paying for hotels and such.

Yeah, hostels are the way to go. My brother is taking a group of his high school students to Europe in a couple weeks for 18 days. They are staying at hostels the entire time for really cheap. Backpack and train, the way to travel Europe! Too bad I don't have time to go being in school!
