How would you prepare for paying for school and life, study, just in general what would you give for advice for someone prepping for CRNA school.

I am just starting school next week but I can tell you what I have read from years of going through different forums.

If you are at all able, save up 2-3 years of living expenses so you don't have to borrow as much money; I hear the interest on the other end is terrible.

Life depends on you, and your family status. Single people seem to have a hard time losing all their free time and social outings. People with families lose time with their S.O.'s and kids. Other then spending lots of time before hand with them, and preparing them for the fact that you aren't gonna be there - unless you live close to super awesome family that doesn't have any crazy issues ( ha ha), there is not much else there. Some people leave their family in one state and go to school in another. Others move everyone. Others only go local. Others move to where family lives so there will be help with the kids. YMMV.

Taking some sciences classes, grad level or not, should warm up your brain for school. If you haven't been in a while I mean.

Other than that your question is very broad, and there are a ton of threads here on the same type of thing...if you have a specific question, shoot away!

good luck

I let Uncle Sam pick up the tab......However.. being in the military has it's downsides.

There are definitely downsides...lol. The military route is not worth it just to get school paid for.

Oh GOD no.... unless you are already in do NOT let the military pick up the tab..

Basically I get to transfer into a unit this January and I want to begin to prepare to get in crna school. How did you all pay for life expenses? Did you get cost of living loans?

Except for paying cash for college, unless you want to wait 15 years.

Most civilian SRNAs rely on loans, and decreasing their debt as much as possible before and during school.
