Hey guys,

I just finished school and took a job at Vanderbilt on a stepdown unit. I did not learn much about ekg in school. I am looking for a good book to teach me about how to read them. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

'Rapid Interpretration of EKG' by Dubin. It's a bright orange book. Can't miss it.

i also recommend Dubin's book... i had to learn how to read EKG's for a course in less than a week... the required reading text sucked (so don't get "ECGs Made Easy" by Barbara Aehlert)... but after reading "Rapid Interpretation," it was so much more understandable...

I second, third, fourth, and fifith Dale Dubin's book. It makes reading EKG's as simple as he says easy.

Thanks for the tips

I also reccomend Dubin - I used edition V. I know you ask for a book but if you get an opportunity attend the seminar "Cardiology for the Non-Cardiac Nurse" its presented by MED ED I think, they are out of Texas. I went to it in Feb. it was being presented in Pittsburg PA it lasted two days and the presentation on EKGs made it so easy to understand them I walked away feeling very confident in being able to interpret EKGs.
