Langara Fall 2017

World Canada CA Programs

Hi!

It's super early but I wanted to start a thread for those planning to apply to Langara for the Fall 2017 intake!

I am finishing one last prerequisite and will be applying as soon as applications open in November.

Who else is going to apply to this intake?!

I have some volunteer experience, at a health unit for about 2.5 years, also with a hospital charity org., and I began at a care home not too long ago. Other than that, nothing too spectacular. What about you?

I have applied to lanagara and douglas for fall 2017! I am finishing up my last pre req for lanagara and my last two for douglas.

That's really good! I have 3 years of customer service experience, a couple years with a soup kitchen, and currently around 30 hours of volunteer at a nursing home for seniors with Alzheimer's! :)

For the last 2 Biology prerequisites for Douglas, where can you do them besides from there? I think they are the only ones asking for 4 Biology courses before you can apply to the BSN program. Is this new?

I also want to apply to the bsn program at langara, I go to douglas currently and did my pre reqs there.

I'm pretty sure the last two Bios have always been a requirement and they are only offered at Douglas as no other school requires them

So you can't take the last 2 Bio. Courses anywhere else? :(

I would double check on the BC transfer guide, but the options are pretty limited

I just submitted my application! Fingers crossed!

Anyone else planning to apply or have already applied? :)

I have applied! Just wondering if volunteer hours would give you a better chance even though that's not a requirement!
