CRNE Results June 2013

Hi all,

I want to congratulate everything on writing the June 2013 exam. I wish everyone the best of the luck. I know we are all patiently awaiting for our results now. 4-6 weeks seems like forever.

How did everyone find the exam?

I wrote my exam in Ontario. I found the test to be fair, but difficult at the same time. I felt like for every question I was able to narrow it down to 2 answers, both of which seemed like the correct answers. This was very frustrating. I wish I could say I did really well, but the truth is I really don't know. (lol). All I can say is we studied and tried our hardest, and now let's hope for the best. Have faith in yourselves. We did it. :)

Again, good luck, and may the bell curve be forever in your favor.

what are the strategies you used while answering multiple choice questions ?

Thanks harleen dhillion! Your avg I believe is ok but do aim for high 70's and 80's of course.. The multiple choice questions can easily throw you off whether your studying or in the exam so its def better to

Aim in the 80's range. As for picking m/c think of ABC's, priority and safety... And read the question carefully, really understand what it's asking you. Gluck with the exam and be positive!! :D

Always use the nursing process when answering! assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing and evaluating. ALWAYS start with the assessment and then from there move on through the process. Break down the question into what they are asking, underline the important points. Don't over think it........................and if one of the answers is "wash your hands" ALWAYS pick it lol :p

thank you for the tips jamd11 and julia03

I live in Ontario as well... i thought for sure I failed which would have meant I would be homeless if I did not pass seeing how it was by third time writing... EVERYTHING was ridding on this exam for me. I studied from February to June. I had the same routine for 5+ months - work, study, work, study. One week after writing the exam I was browsing at the mall all of a sudden I was like '**** what are you doing? you should be studying' then I quickly realized the exam was over, my heart rate slowed and then I started panicking again because know I have to wait for the results ... another reason to panic!!! oh gosh... for 6+ month it felt like all I did was panic and when I was asleep, I would have nightmares... finally in July I got my letter from CNO. I started shaking as I opened the letter .... PASSED!!! I was sooo happy.... finally I could breath... all the work had paid. Best thing I ever did. I PASSED!! BEST NEWS I EVER GOT IN A LETTER and now I have hope that I will find employment and not be homeless. But I quickly learned that it's going to be a lot harder as I've been out of school for a year... i still have hope and a smile on my face :)
