Hi everyone, Im an Irish nurse preparing for the CRNEs for February 2012 in Toronto. Didnt see any thread for this exam in February, so thought id start one. How is everyone preparing? Im using the CRNE prep guide doing Qs and studying the competencies. Any tips/advice? Happy studying!!

Iam agree about your concern regarding disturbed exam situation.....It is really distressing. I am also too much disturbed in the exam and could not get concentration long time after fire alram. So how can we do that just guide I will give you hand. I have complained about inappropriate exam hall. Iam thinking about that right after exam but no one coment and I don't have that much idea too that's why...

Just so you understand, each and every exam is weighted in such a way so that it's fair. Everyone regardless of where or what year you write must achieve the same standard. So if there happens to be an exam that is either more difficult or easier, the passing grade is adjusted accordingly. It doesn't matter if one exam was out of 114 and the next was out of 120. In the end, it amounts to the same thing.

Can we do that, I did not know that. I wrote my RN for first time, and I failes, but I do agree that it was really disturbing, couldnt think straight after that alarm my head was hurting. So can I writte to CNO.

I think we can write to CNO regarding the distraction we had in the exam hall. Exam hall should be free of distraction so that we can concentrate in our exam. Since the Alarm has caused me great anxiety and I could not focus at all after that. Exam is our life and we should definitely raise this problems to CNO. On top of that, they have increased the passing score and that's very unfair to us.

We students who had distraction during exam and caused great anxiety/problems should definitely complain to CNO and They should reconsider this exam.

Whether it will work or not, we should make it happen. Since it is our life and we have studied so hard to pass the exam. This disrupting environment has caused us anxiety and disrupted our concentration. So, CNO should definitely reconsider it!

It depends on You whenever you are ready to write the exam again! I was ready this time, but because of the alarm i could not focus at all.

I'm going to complain on the phone this monday. You can do the same. And after that I will write to CNO.

I think everyone should raise their voice!

Yes I did, I really do want to pass, did you go fr any prep classes. I did not go I sytudied myself.
