Yes, I know care4nurse. I contacted them . My IELTS scores expired recently. So I have to do CLBA ( Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment) They advised me to finish that first and I don't want to divert my attention right now. Once I clear CRNE, I can undergo the language assessment with a relaxedmind.
CLBA is different from CELBAN. CLBA is just an assessment for your CARE4Nurses Cass Manager to determine your eligibility to become a member of CARE. It's NOT an accepted proof of fluency by the CNO, and definitely different from CELBAN.

I took CLBA before, because it's a requirement to be a member of CARE. I think if your CLBA is low or <7, they will ask you to take ESL classes to improve your English.

CLBA is just for assessment purposes, just to gauge your written and oral skills in English. I'm not sure of which other agencies require this, but Care4Nurses require everyone to have this before they can become a member. They said if your English level is low, you can't enrol in programs offered by CARE, because you need to improve your English first to be able to communicate and understand. Otherwise, you will be advised to take ESL courses like LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) which is also free to newcomers.

Nope. you have to book your CLBA appointment to your nearest Newcomer Information Centre (NIC). Google CLBA, then you will find out which one is near you. It's a 3-hr exam with oral, written and listening parts.
