Which one do you recommend? Kaiser, Saint Joseph, Saint Jude, UCI,.....?

Specializes in Emergency, Trauma, Critical Care.

lol, in this economy, the one that hires you. :)

Honestly, I can say St. Joseph is pretty good to it's nurses.

Hoag's nice too, but does some weird stuff.

Weird stuff? Now I'm curious. And I heard that St. Joes just laid off about 20 nurses ..

My friend says the benefits at UCI are not too bad. But I agree, whichever hospital hires you in this economy. :D

I just started at St. Joes, hadn't heard of any lay offs....I know some people left, but not the details. Me and two other nurses just got hired.

Specializes in Emergency Department.

What does that mean?

I work at Anaheim Regional as an aide, looking to get promoted to nurse after December graduation. I really like it there.

Weird stuff with how theyre system works as opposed to other hospitals. Nurses there are well taken care of, but recent needed budget cuts are making it less desirable to work there. I was at the small new hospital tho, I think things are completely different at the big newport location. I can tell you a lot of nurses were having to leave the small hospital due to no work available, I was one of them. They really over-hired.

Thank you all for your response that was very helpful. Does anyone know about saint jude hospital?

Pretty vague still (aside from the overestimated staffing complaint)... it's walking distance from my house and would be a nice change to work so close to home!

You have to be vague on forums. They are doing layoffs right now. I could give details in a pm.

Specializes in Psychiatric Nursing.

Any hospital that offers you a job is a good hospital (LOL). I agree with some other posters here that with this economy, any job is probably a good job (unless it's obviously bad).

Hi there everyone,

I know its 2015 now but I'm just wondering if anyone can help me... My situation is I live in Anaheim CA. I have an out-of-state RN license which is in New Mexico, currently I'm still processing for my reciprocity but since I'm a foreign graduate, I doubt that I could get approved for reciprocity easily. I've been trying to get a job for a few months now but still no luck. Is there anyone who has a kind heart to recommend me in their company/hospital please? I really don't know what to do right now. :'(
