CNM Minion - No need to be sorry. :) I personally recommend the program. The clinical sites they secure for us have been so great and we get really good experience. The SIM lab and the standardized patients is what also sets this program apart from others. I think this past Friday was the last day to turn in the initial deposit, so I'm guessing they'll send out responses some time this week

Hello Nursing Toreros!! I am so very happy to FINALLY say that I MADE IT INTO THE PROGRAM!!!! :roflmao: :up: I'm so excited to be part of our cohort and I can't wait to meet all of you! I'm trying to figure out how I can be added onto the MEPN 2016 FB group?

Also, did anyone have a problem finding the Deposit link? All I see is the "Account Balance" link. I'll call them tomorrow but thought I'd see if anyone else was having the same issue?

For all who are waitlisted, I received a call today that I got a spot. Not sure how many others are still on the waitlist, but hopefully this info is helpful and you will also hear soon that a spot has opened up! I didn't want to get my hopes up, so the call today was definitely an awesome surprise.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello. Not sure if I met any of you at the interviews or not... regardless, I'm excited to meet everyone in August. :) I just requested to join the FB group, too.

Does anyone know the schedule for the August bootcamp? i.e. is it M-F? Weekends? I'll email admissions or friends who are currently in the program and post here if I get any further info.

Just thought I'd ask -- when comparing the student organizations at USD vs UCLA, I noticed that USD has a Sigma Theta Tau chapter (nursing honor society) but doesn't have a Alpha Tau Delta chapter (the professional nursing fraternity). UCLA, UCI, Mt. St. Mary's, and CSULA all have one.

On UCLA's website it says "College chapters are established only in schools of nursing fully accredited by the National League for Nursing" and upon further investigation, I realized that USD isn't accredited by the National League for Nursing.

Does anyone happen to know if that really means anything? :cautious:

when are the health clearances due (physical/drug screening)? should we be getting something in the mail soon about them & then as long as we submit it before the program starts we're good?

I am currently waitlisted for MEPN. Do you happen to know how many students they usually have on the waitlist and how many are admitted? Thank you in advance!
