UCSD Perinatal Nurse Training Program

U.S.A. California

I just received an email that I have an interview scheduled for 6/1.

Did anyone else apply? Has anyone interviewed or been selected?

The job posting didn't mention how many they were seeking or when they want to start the program so I'm pretty lost on the details. It sounds like an amazing opportunity though.

hello,

We have interview on the same day, Goodluck to you :)

So they are interviewing 10 people for 5 position?

Has anyone received any sort of rejection notification yet? I haven't gotten an email for an interview, but my status on my application has also not changed since May 5...it still just says application received. Another position I applied for at UCSD (not a new grad one) rejected me and it actually says under status "no longer under consideration". I'm wondering if the new grad program will notify those who do not get interviews or if I should still be hopeful.

How did everyone's interviews go? Mine was...just okay. There were only three people on my panel.

I thought mine went well- yeah, I only had 2 people on my panel. What made you think yours was "just okay"?

I stumbled on a couple questions, especially the ones about facing a difficulty and dealing with conflict with another nurse. Then at the end ----- said something about how I should feel good about myself for being in the top 1 or 2% of applications they received.

I don't know how my went to be honest. I had 5 people in the panel. I answered all the question that was asked but not sure if thats what they wanted to hear. All I can do now is hope for the best.

Good luck to everyone who got interviewed. Lets be possitive :)

@LiznOwenKeep your head up!! ----- said the same thing to me about the top 1%.. I'll be praying for all of us! =D

Hah so we're probably either in or out together. How did yours go?

Mine went okay. I answered most of the questions well but I was extremely nervous! They mentioned about grading the interviews on a point system...I hope not knowing Spanish fluently doesn't dock me a point lol =]

Mine was okay too. I had 5 people there to interview me. Do you know how many people they interviewed during those two days?

My interview was ok too. It is hard to know what they thought so I am just hoping I gave the answers they were looking for. I am not 100% how many they interviewd but in my interview they said that they did interviews all day Friday, and few on Thursday and 1 or 2 on Monday. I would say at least 12 people had interviews. Keeping my fingers crossed for us all.
