UCLA New Grad Winter 2015

U.S.A. California

Does anyone have an idea when the applications go up for the Winter 2015 cohort for UCLA RN new grad residency? Also, what is the minimum GPA required to apply? I have heard different things; some such as GPA at UCLA matters to an extent and others say that you need an extremely high GPA. My GPA is not low by any means, but it is average. Thanks!

So I called and they said they just got my references on the 30th...-_-'

HR said it's just a waiting game now.

They also said they aren't allowed to disclose number of interviewees or number of people that will be accepted.

Hi everyone. Ill be starting work in the UCLA OR this March. :)

i interviewed for a tele unit.

The wait is killing me. Have anyone heard anything from med/surg yet?

They asked for 4 references, I put 5 just in case if one of them wouldn't reply. So as expected 1 out of the 5 still saying pending. Would that pending status delay anything on the process even though I have the 4 references that they asked completed?

When you click on the link they provided, there is another link above your reference list where you can read facts. Forgot exactly which one but the very first fact answers your question.

I am also still waiting, but for a Transplant/tele floor.

For some reason the link is not working. Do you mind coping and pasting the link or the question you said answers my question. Thanks

Thank you very much!!! I was able to see the link and the question you were referring to.

Hey Jeannine! Did you get a call from the unit manager?

My guess is that you're probably good as long as the 4 are complete. I was in a similar position. Just bug the person who is taking forever :)

I remember calling recruitment because one of my managers was being stubborn about it. The recruitment lady said it is fine as long as you have at least one manager and one other person who worked closely with you answers the survey. Of course, you still need to send the minimum of references they asked for. In the link I referred to, it did say it wont affect us negatively if our references choose not to answer the survey.

"Please note that a reference's lack of response does not stop the process from moving forward, and in no way effects your report scores. If you know that a reference will not be responding, or at least will not be responding soon, please contact the company you are applying with and let them know."

Besides, I bet HR or whoever is reviewing our applications will call our references if they want more information.

BUT...if you want to be 100% sure, you should call recruitment yourself since they would be more credible than me in this instance.=]
