Stanislaus or Citrus?

U.S.A. California

Hi,

I am really happy that I found this website because I learned so much from many people's posts. This website is awesome! Today, I have some questions regarding my future nursing school because I am being really indecisive about where to attend.

Can you guys spend some time and answer my questions please? because I really need suggestions, advices, and everything. Thank you!

This is my situation: I am living in Arcadia and currently studying at Pasadena City College. Recently, I got acceptance letters from Citrus College(Glendora, CA) and Cal State Stanislaus(Turlock, CA). Citrus offers ADN program while Cal State Stanislaus offers BSN program. I can finish 2 years in Citrus ADN program or 3 years in CSU Stanislaus BSN program.

Questions:

1. I am not so sure about the difference between ADN vs. BSN degree.

2. If you were me, where would you go? Why?

Thank you very much for your response!!:D

Personally I would opt. the 3 year option because for one you will probably find work faster, and for two, if you go for your ADN at Citrus, and then decide you want to go for your BSN your going to end up going longer than 1 year. The flip side to it all is Citrus' program is only $3 and financial aid could pay for most of that, whereas a University is going to be more expensive. So to be honest IDK. Do whats best for you economically.

Go for the BSN and get it out of the way now.
