SFSU Fall 2012

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi everyone!

Is anyone applying to San Francisco State's program for fall 2012? I haven't seen any threads on it... Just wondering since apps are due in a few weeks!

@CharmantUn: Thank you so much for your input. This one is completely off-topic, but one that I need to know.

I have a nose piercing. Is it inappropriate in nursing school to keep this in? I work at UCSF--- and here, it is really not a big deal; but I am not sure, if as a student, since the context is different, if this is something that I should be taking out. I don't have a bone through my nose, or anything like that, just a simple small stud on one side.

Congratulations to all that were accepted. If you can please provide your stats for those who are applying the following year. Overall/pre-req GPA:Teas score:Health/clinical exp: (what?)Language spoken:County location:

Are you able to accept the admission offer on your student account?

Did everyone fax their forms or did anyone mail it? I'm confused because there's no number to fax it to (?) Or maybe I'm just blind?

@ Iamgonnabeanurse, You can accept the admission offer on your SFSU gateway account. (This is only for SFSU the school itself) However, to accept the nursing program offer, you would have to fax it.

@ Spiffyness, On the bottom of the "BSN Response Form," there should be listed the fax number you are supposed to send it to. The BSN Response Form was e-mailed to me along with the Spring FAQs. I could just message you the fax #, if it makes it easier for you.

The "BSN Response Form" that I got doesn't have a number at the bottom. At the top it has the College of Health and Human services Office number, and at the bottom it has the admissions coordinator address and says "send this completed form to:" then the address. I'm so confused! Chichibaby could you PM me the number? or email the form you have?

@Live1life, I had a 3.7 in overall GPA, 3.8 in pre-reqs, and 84.7% on the TEAS. I intern at a hospital (I submitted 100 hours of volunteer hours when I applied - I'm at 200 hours now), I am trilingual (Cantonese, Spanish, and Vietnamese), and I also fulfilled the multicultural supplement. I'm from Southern California.

Best of luck to those applying this upcoming fall :) I don't have the best scores, but I hope they serve as a reminder to just keep working hard, have hope, and keep your personality in all that you do.

ChiChibaby, if you're from socal, will you be attending the new student orientation in buena park for June 6th? Bc I'm also from the area and will be going to that! Have you also applied for housing?

I got in!

My stats:

Not bilingual

@tiger07, I was going to attend the Buena Park orientation but, my mom wanted to go see the campus for herself. Looks like I'm going to go on a weekend getaway for orientation to our future school! :p But we should totally meet up anyway since we're going to be future classmates - studying, cramming, stressing, and all that fun stuff together hahaha. And yes, I've applied for housing! I'm going to be living in the Village! How about you?

And congraaaaats sarahbee!!! :) Are you in for fall 2012 or spring 2013?

It's kinda funny I am going to be in SF the first weekend of June, but for other business! Then a week after that is the orientation at buena park! If I have some down time maybe I'll get to visit the school. I applied for housing in April but I haven't heard from them yet! My friend and I also want to live in the village, i'm hoping to god there are some spots left! If not the village, then I believe University Park North or South.

We should definitely become study buddies :) We'll keep each other motivated!

@ Iamgonnabeanurse

on my response form it says to mail it in and it must be postmarked by May1st!
