Good luck everybody! I really hope that you all get in. This is a really stressful time in our academic careers, so let's use this thread to comfort each other and to answer each others questions about the admissions process. And at one point or another, celebrate our admission in the SON. Thank you very much!

Oh I agree. I have all these crazy lists and charts of which transcripts I've sent where, and when. I feel like for some schools I've had to send sooo many copies! A set showing my work in progress, then a set when I completed the semester, then a set to the school... that is not cheap either. SFSU just raised their transcript prices from $2 to $8 in November of this past year! Right before I had to start ordering three million of them! Haha, the joys of nursing applications.

What I really wish is that all the nursing schools had online applications!

Oh my gosh, I feel the same way! I seriously spent almost $200 just on transcripts because I went to 3 schools to finish my pre-reqs and needed 2 copies to each school. I applied to 5 schools so it really added up. And I already wasted $55 applying to CSU Bakersfield but I decided I'm not going to even apply to their nursing program. I think I bought too many transcripts because I didn't want to keep just sending in more transcript forms, I wanted to get them all at once and be done with it. Total I probably spent like $500 applying! In the end it will all pay off though!

Hi there,

Another SDSU FALL 2012 hopeful here.. just wanted to chime in since I will be nibbling my nails until March with the rest of ya! In regard to the supplemental app.. for the courses that I was unable to find a specific match, I just filled in the custom entry. (I did that on about 4 of them).

My numbers are:

Overall GPA: 4.0

Pre-req's: 4.0

TEAS: 82% (not happy with this, as I ran out of time on reading comp) :(

Volunteer: 100+ hours

Can't wait to hear from more hopeful's... the next couple months are going to be unbearable!

SDSU is my first choice, but also applied to SFSU, CSUEB, and I got accepted to USF, but turned it down cuz I just couldn't justify the outrageous expense..

Good luck everyone!

Nice @capogirl! Sounds like you have a really good chance of getting in the program!

As for me, my numbers are:

Overall GPA: 3.2 low, I know :bluecry1:

Pre-req's: 3.89

TEAS: 82%

Work experience: 1000+ hours

This brings me to a total of 70 points. I'm really, really, REALLY hoping this is enough to get me in!

Can't wait to hear from more hopefuls! Wishing you all the best!

By the way, what is this supplemental application everyone is taking about. I thought we only had to turn in our application (back in November) and our packet?

Someone fill me in please! Thank you!

It was an additional application for the university that we were supposed to complete. It was due January 23rd at 6 pm or something. You access it by signing in the SDSU webportal.

Is that for people who are applying for San Diego State/transfer students? I';m currently a student at state and when I logged onto my webportal I didn't see anything about it? Thanks for replying by the way!

Yup it's only for transfers and applicants to the University. If you go to SDSU then you're good :)

Sorry, its been a while since I was on this feed. I'm so nervous. I turned in my packet with all the completed forms. Seeing your guys scores is really scaring me.

overall: 3.07 :(

pre reqs: 3.00 :(

TEAS: 84% :(

Volunteer 100+ :(

You guys are so intense....

Hi I made a pretty bad mistake :[ I took a single community college course back in high school and I totally forgot to include it in my application packet. What happens if I turn it in after the application deadline? or would they even care about this one course?

Was it a Pre requisite for the nursing program?

Nope it was totally unrelated. I was so young that I don't even remember what the course was called lol I believe it was called Humanities in Chicano Cultures.
