Scripps new grad program summer 2013

U.S.A. California

Thought I would post another thread on here for the scripps new grad program starting this summer as applications are open for internals and soon will open for externals. I myself am an internal, applied Monday, and have an interview already set for May 7th... Good luck to all!!!

@Meg16-What units did you interview for Green and Chula? I used to work at both and might be able to provide you with some names you might recognize.

Hey BuckRN!!

Wow thank you for wanting to help me out! They said they supervised over the New Grads and helped move them around to different units. So I don't think they worked with a particular unit. They were both Asian ladies, one maybe Filipino and the other maybe Korean? Just a guess! I called and spoke with HR and they said it would be difficult to figure out who they were. And she also said that everyone was pleased with the turnout and that all the managers and supervisors appreciate everyone taking time to go interview, which is nice! Oh well, it was worth a shot!! :p

Thanks for the info Meg16!!! oh my-- i wish they could just tell us a lil bit sooner!!!

Is there anybody here who are currently working somewhere and applied for the regular med-surg position at Scripps Mercy??? The one that says "recent RN experience"?? .. I feel like I am all surrounded by the new grads and i dont know if the hiring process for the regular RN posotion will be the same as the NG...

Hey everyone,

When I asked for business cards at the end of the interview, they said they didn't have any but I could have the manager's card. One nurse wrote down her email address, the other two just wrote their names. Now what? Who in the world do I write to and do I send a thank you to the manager if she wasn't present at the interview?

Nevermind, I think I've figured it out.

Hi Sommerelkins,

I was also there today at 12:30 for the Dedicated Education Unit at La Jolla RN Residency Interview....I bet we saw each other!! I had on a skirt and jacket (black, like everyone else) :D How did your interview go?

Hi Chicago Girl,

I bet we did see each other! Were you the blonde with shoulder-length hair sitting by the door? I felt like my interview went really well. I was nervous because it was my very first one so I didn't know what to expect but when I left I felt really good about how it went. How about you? I wonder if they asked us all the same questions...?

You posted in a new grad thread for Scripps new grad program! You will probably find the info you seek if you start a thread in the California forum asking that question :)
