Thought I would post another thread on here for the scripps new grad program starting this summer as applications are open for internals and soon will open for externals. I myself am an internal, applied Monday, and have an interview already set for May 7th... Good luck to all!!!

Good luck to everyone this and next week. I hope we all get to work together. You all seem like great people and that's exactly what I would want in my workplace.

Have a great day everyone!

My interview is on Tuesday May 7th at 12:30 p.m. Chicago Girl, you said there were 6 tables with 2-4 people at each table? Do you circulate and go to every table or stay at just one table? I am so excited! Does anyone know if they hold second interviews or is this the only one an then they make their decisions? I'm so excited! Also, how do some people know which unit they applied for and some don't? I just applied for the RN Residency Program but was never asked to specify a unit.... hmmm...

You stay at one table. Is your interview for DEU? From what I have heard and experienced there is not a second interview....this is it! Which I think is a good thing because it decreases the anxiety for all of us. I did ot specify a unit, only applied for residence and DEU. Good luck to you on Tuesday!

Hey JRose17

Mine went okay...I was at table 6, with the two ladies (if you walked in the room and went immediately right they were the first table :) The questions were not as behavioral as I thought they would be...how did yours go?

I was at table 4 the middle table to the right. They seemed to be more of how you handle situations, personality no real Medical ones. I think mine went pretty good but you never know, just never know.

It was so hard to tell, don't you think? It was more of a conversational interview than clinical scenarios. Thoughts?

I felt like mine was definitely more conversational interview. I think they just want to see your personality, if you hit key words, and if they think you will fit on their floor.

That's interesting. I thought all of the questions were behaviorial (as opposed to clinical). I wonder if the different tables had different questions based on our talentmines? My table had 3 interviewers. Just speculating. :)

Definitely more behavior based not clinically related. My ladies had one script 2 pages on white paper then they said they wanted to ask additional questions, they pulled out what felt like talentmines and asked 3-4 out of the 10.

Hello everyone,

I have a interview on Tuesday at 130. I will be interviewing with 4 managers. Does anyone know what the starting salary is for a new grad nurse? I also interviewed with Sharp this week. I wonder who pays more and which hospital is better to work for?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Libbers- what unit at Sharp did you interview with? (Congrats! That's awesome!, btw)

It's the Adult Health medical surgical/pcu residency program . I believe the units will be ortho/neuro and transplant pcu.

Gotcha! I applied for one of the positions, but do not remember because my app disappeared! I called and they said it happens but they have my info. They were still interviewing one hospital at a time or so. I wish you the best! My friend works there and she loves it!

San Diego County usually starts new grads around 36 an hour. Scripps pays BSN nurses more. Not sure how much more but they state that under their FAQs section of the new grad program.

Has anyone been interviewed for the medical/surgical units? If so what sorts of questions were you asked? I go on Monday the 6th with four managers.
