Samuel Merritt ELMNS Spring 2015

U.S.A. California

Hello

I will be re-applying for the ELMNS spring 2015 program at the sacramento campus. Is anyone also doing the same?

Thanks for the tips Gokings, I really appreciate it! I've been looking over Pathophys and Pharm as a refresher but I'll definitely make sure to enjoy what time I have left for family/friends. I do have have one random question actually. For guys, what shoes would you recommend? A few of us were wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Do they have to be ALL white? And are sneakers allowed? Any info you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your help!

No, it doesn't have to be all white. I recalled a faculty said that 70% white would be fine. It is hard to find shoes that are all white. I had running shoes for clinical and never had those "nursing shoes." Just buy something that is comfortable, at least 70% white, and affordable. You may walk to up 7 to 8 miles during clinical per day, so you want to have shoes that are super comfortable. Otherwise, your feet will be hurting so bad after a long day.

Yup! What ALXiong said. lol.. It just has to be mostly white. If you can find all white shoes that are comfortable, the better- so faculty won't give you a hard time about it. As a guy, I've just been using all white Adidas shell-toes- but its really up to you. You are on your feet for most of the day, so just make sure the shoes you pick are comfortable.

Hello!

I just received an acceptance letter. Super excited. I spoke to ------------- and she gave me great advice on how to improve my essay. They reward their re-applicants. Great luck to all.

Hey! I am wait listed #1 for ELMSN CM. The wait list does not seem to be moving. I am reapplying for Oakland this upcoming fall. What did you do differently as a re-applicant. Thank you

Dear ELMSN FNP Fall 2015 applicants,

I just started a thread for us. Please come check it out! :p

Hello everyone,

I'm glad I did not have only Samuel Merritt to count on for my nursing school applications! As a wait listed candidate for the ELMSN Sacramento campus, my position went down from a #13 to an #8 in the last three weeks.

I just received a call early this morning for my admission into the University of Maryland School of Nursing --- CNL program for the non nurse.

I am so happy, and blessed and I thank our LORD I don't have to go through another round of applications.

Good luck to everyone out there seeking to enter a nursing program. My advise is that maybe don't base your applications in one school only. If you have the means consider applying to different nursing programs like I did and possibly other applicants

Can anyone tell me a little more about the CM track as well as profession? Thanks

I'm currently an SMU student in the CM track. I don't know how to private message you but if you want to get more information please email me at [email protected]. I'll be able to answers all of your questions.

Best wishes,

T

Congratulations to all of you!! Just out of curiosity to those of you who were accepted, what were your stats (TEAS, GPA, science GPA)? And!! Did any of you have any work/volunteer experience? Samuel Merritt in general seems like a tough school to get into so I'd love to get a sense of what they're looking for.

Thanks in advance and best of luck to everyone!
