Samuel Merritt ABSN Letters of Recommendations

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi everyone,

I am currently in the process of applying to the Samuel Merritt ABSN program (I know so late, I procrastinate :( ). I have a question, though, about the letters of recommendation. I see that I need to put down the email of my recommenders. Does this send them a recommendation form to fill out? If so, what is that form like and is this all they have to send (not any letter? )

Thanks! Good luck to all those applying!

Hi,

The email is so that Samuel Merritt can communicate directly with your recommenders. I do not know if they are sent a form to complete, or if they are invited to write a letter. Just be sure to ask your recommenders which email address they prefer to have you use.

Good luck!

When they were still doing paper applications (I think it changed to electronic last year) there was a form to fill out where the recommender ranks you in different categories and answers a few other questions. Then there was a section that gave specific items to address in the letter of recommendation. The recommender had to complete the form and write a letter. I'm not sure if its the same with the electronic application but that's what it entailed in the past.

Hello! One of my recommenders gave me insight, since I'm nosy and asked ;) she told me that they emailed her directly and prompted her to give a recommendation for me if she would like. Then she had some sort of table to fill out about my clinical readiness, personality, etc. one of those (strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree and strongly agree tables). I hope this helps :)
