I am currently taking the prerequisite courses and planing to submit my application as soon as I finish the courses, but I am now working 3 day a week, sometimes 2 days in order to support myself. I am wondering whether I am still able to work part-time if I got accepted, does any of you guys worked while you were in the program? Thanks.

I haven't got anything yet, but I will go check my mailbox immediately when I get home. Now I am SUPER nervous. What were your stats if I may ask?

I had my husband go to my email, since I can't get in from work...he said there is nothing from SMU. Now I am scared. This sucks to be just a sitting duck waiting and waiting. SMU is the only place I applied, so I will be very upset if I don't get in.

Hi Biggiecali,

Maybe they are posting emails as they go?

My stats were:

NET: 80% composite (79 reading, 80 math) UGH, I was not having a good day when I took it!

Science pre-req's: 4.0

(I am still taking Micro, have to take Pharm & Patho this summer) those weren't included in my GPA

Overall GPA (past 60 etc from by first Bachelors) 3.8 or something...

I think I had pretty good letters of rec, and just a dabbling of professional & volunteer experience... Nothing significant or recent!

I am having drinks tonight with a friend that works at SM. Maybe can get more info...

Good luck, I'll keep you posted!

I hope they are sending them as they go too. I had 93 NET and have a 3.8 GPA with maybe a 3.8 science, I'm not sure what I am going to get in Physio yet, I'm right on the border of A and B with 2 tests left, and I still have Patho for the summer. I didn't have any experience and just volunteering from 8 years ago. I have been working full time since then as a manager for an insurance company doing injury claims. I don't know...I'm nervous! I don't know how good my letters of recommendation were. They were okay to me but I don't know what kind of stuff people usually get though. I am so nervous now. I'm gonna be checking my email 20X a day until something comes. Good luck to you!!! Hopefully we will both have good news!

Im so sorry if my 1st post has caused you to stress!!! Your stats sound great, I am sure you'll get an email too! I'll ask my friend what their system is for responding. I too only applied to SM, so all my eggs are in one basket! I know how you feel, the waiting is awful! Good luck!!!

I applied to the SF campus for November and got an email today saying that my application passed the SMU admissions review and is being forwarded to the SF campus for further review...

Did anyone else get a similar email?

I did not receive an e-mail. I had to contact my councelor. My app. was fowarded too! I made the first hurdle, I hope we get picked! :smokin::heartbeat

Which counselor did you contact to find out if your application had been forwarded. I, too applied for fall but haven't received any e-mails yet. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide! :)

I finally received my email... My application at this time is considered incomplete. Apparently I have 3 different schools that still haven't sent in transcripts even though I ordered them in January. I am FURIOUS right now. I am going to go re-order them now and HOPE and PRAY that I still have a chance. They just said that once they recieve the required info they will move forward, so I guess there's still hope...still hope till they tell me otherwise.

I didn't receive an email, either; so I contacted Admissions and they

let me know my file is under faculty review.

Just FYI... My friend at Samuel Merritt said they received about 200 apps for fall SF; about 40 were dropped in this first round. So 160 of us are competing for 48 spots! Yikes!

That makes me have about zero hope. Especially since my application is considered incomplete due to some transcript issues. This makes me very sad. If I got an email saying that my file is incomplete, does that mean that I was one of the 40 dropped already? Because the email said to get it into them as soon as possible. Any one know? Thanks! I think that at this point I won't hold my breath.

I am starting the ABSN Oakland in a week. I found the administration to be doing a great job in responding to questions. I would recommend checking in. They make their decisions later then I thought they would. Once I was in everything went smoothly. They are good and communicating through email.

Good Luck!
