Hey, is anyone applying to sac state for spring 2012? Do you think it will be easier to get into since they won't accept any non-sacstate students? What do u think the cut off will be?

Sorry for all these questions. Has anyone taken the TEAS v? if so, what was your score? how did you study? and for how long. I am taking the test in 3 weeks. i am nervous

Wow I haven't logged onto here in awhile! But congrats to everyone else who has gotten in! I'm so overwhelmed with the check-list that has been given to us :/ Does anyone know if we have to order everything (stethoscope, pen light, etc.) from CNSA or can we purchase those items elsewhere? Also I'm in SECTION 3! If anyone else has the same clinical section, let me know :) Hope to see you all soon!

rchase elsewhere. The only thing we have to purchase from them is the name badge. Want to do the bulk order fir stethoscopes with us.

Im in section 2
I'm super jealous. Your hospital is closer to my house and I'm going to have a TERRIBLE time waking up for clinical! Over the break I have to practice going to bed early and waking up early. Lol

I live about 45 minutes away from Sutter Roseville! That means I have to wake up extra earlier. Lol Omg, we are going to have no sleep next semester!

Congratulations y'all!!! I got in the program this semester with Kaiamc and she gave you guys great advice. I was in Section 5 and did my clinicals at Sutter Roseville. It was a nice hospital to do your first semester in.

We have two final exams next week and after that I can help you guys out with any questions you may have. So, good job everyone give yourself a big pat on the back because it was not easy to get to where you are right now.

Thanks ***** for the heads up about this thread!

I am a Spring 2013 student as well!

Don't stress too much about the pre checklist. It's a lot but you'll get it done!

I did my checklist this summer (I was supposed to begin in Fall by deferred my acceptance til Spring)

If you have any questions let me know!

I am in section 5 and will be at Sutter Roseville also.

Excited to go through this journey together!

Hello!

I got section 7

I wonder how they assign the clinical sections and why they don't allow you to switch. I also wonder why they only allow alternates for the VA sections. Is that the least desirable site for clinicals??? I guess I'll have to wait and see. With all the paperwork I have to complete on top of finals I don't even have time to be excited anymore. Now I'm more worried about my ability to perform well next semester. Any advice from previous students who have done clinicals at the VA?

AAHHH I am currently in the process of trying to find my Tdap and Varicella Immunizations and started freaking out over everything else! So i logged on here and saw that everyone is pretty much freaking out too, so i feel a little better haha.

I am also in section 8 CREBS! we have a bunch of extra paper work to fill out for that hospital, i wonder why? ALSO, were you still trying to order the stethescopes in bulk? If so i would love to be apart of that!

AND, did anyone print off the Kaiser Compliance paper work? i printed mine a few days ago and have been so stressed with finals i don't know where i found it at and i am unsure on how to fill it out (it asks about employer id and faculty names and stuff) if anyone has filled it out let me know what the heck to put on there!

I am about to order the uniforms and sign up for CNSA! who else is going to sign up?

Sorry if i'm sounding scatterbrained, it's because i am! HAHA

Hey NicolR! I'm so glad somebody is in my section on here!!! The VA is run by the government = bureaucracy = lots of paperwork. Also, it's military which I think requires US citizenship or something. Not sure. I AM still wanting to do the stethoscopes in bulk. We need at least 3 people to get a small discount and 5 for a bit more of a discount. If Alam still wants to do it then we can go ahead and order unless you guys want to wait a bit longer to try and get a bigger discount on the shipping. The Kaiser compliance paperwork is not due yet, and what you can print now is not correct. They are making changes and we will have to sign the one that is for 2013 so stress be gone for that! In what part of down do you live? I'm in Elk Grove and am hoping that people in our section live nearby for carpooling. I'm a little disappointed that I won't get to speak a foreign language at clinicals, but I guess that will help prevent any mistakes! lol

I ordered mine Tuesday night already and it's on its way to me right now :)

Sorry I didn't want to wait and stress about it with all the finals and stuff.
