RN license: how long before BON mail it or post it oline?

hi! i sent a letter of my ssn, a name address change and attached marriage certificate to the cali bon last january 12 and up to now, my name isnt in the online verification yet and no mail from them either!

this is the first time im getting my RN license and i want my married name on it thats why i sent the ssn letter with a name address change form with a copy of marriage cert. i thought that once u sent the ssn then it will only take 3 days for them to post ur name online.

but now wat????!!!!!

You need to give them about two weeks to even process your letter to them. They receive thousands of pieces of mail on a daily basis in most cases. This is the normal amount of time to also permit the information to get to your file. Then your file is reviewed by a human to make sure that it is complete before a license number is issued. They do not receive one letter and then immediately act on it.

You sent the letter on the 12th, you also need to allow time for the post office to deliver it there as well.

I would give them another week or so before contacting them to even make sure that they have received it.

ok, il do that. tnx suzane! with regards to the time of the post office delivering mails, will that take a week til it reach sacramento if the mail is from north SD?

They receive huge bags of mail, so it is more of when they actually get to the letter in the first place. And it can take several days to get to Sacramento.

This is why it is best to always give them two weeks for things like this. Once they receive your letter, it goes to your file and then the file needs approval. It will be on-line before you receive the actual license as those have been manufactured out of state and will need to be sent.

hi! i've been trying to find the mode of payment for name/address change. I just married recently and changed my last name. according to the form i signed, i need to pay $30 for a new license. Can i pay with personal check or cash? If i can pay with personal check, what should i write at the "Pay to" portion? Hope you could help me out. thanks! :)
