Queen how was the dosage calculation class? You will be ahead of the game!

RN2B951- I decided I bit off more than I can chew with my schedule, the kids, hubby, and math class that I Haaate :roflmao:. So I dropped the calculations class and the success in nursing class got canceled. Drug calculations is not hard. Oh my goodness the Teas exam is next week. I have been studying but I still feel like i'm not ready yet. There's a free teas test practice site that I went on and answered a few reading questions. Let's just say if the questions are like the real TEAS then I am in trouble. Here's the link Free TEAS Practice Tests | TEAS - Test-Guide.com. RN2B can you look at the first two reading practice test on that site and let me know if the reading section is that difficult? Thanks.

I think it was about the same. Reading of the passages and understanding the content. You will be fine!! Try to relax when u get nervous u tend to make silly mistakes because you are over thinking. I was nervous to but I had to let in go and tell myself God brought me this far. I prayed and put it in his hands.

Hi Queen. The test is pretty similar to those practice test. The passages I had on the test were a little longer. Don't worry you will do fine. Just spend some time practicing your reading if that's what your having trouble with. Make sure your timing yourself when your practicing. Get a good night sleep the night before and eat a good breakfast:) Good luck!! I'm crossing my fingers for you!!

I am studying my butt off. I am not worried I will go in and do my best. I guess it just shook me when I read those passages and missed two questions lol. The thing is I have always been a strong reader but I do read slow and I am a bit concerned about the time. To have to read fast and go back and answer questions will be a challenge for me. By wednesday I will just practicing testing and reviewing so we will see. Will we have the amount of time left shown on the screen so we can adjust our speed or start guessing if we are about to run out of time? Also for you all who have taken your test at rcc will we have to sit and test for the whole three hours or can we take a break and go potty or get a drink of h2o in between subjects?

Yes you can see your time and you can take bathroom breaks in between test. Take a sweater cause it could get cold in there. I think reading is the first test you will take. Have you taken the practice test on the ATI site? They cost money but they are very similar to the actual test. The test given by RCC is actually through ATI so it's the most similar practice test you will find online. You'll actually go on that website to get your results. I really recommend taking them. It also breaks down your test results and lets you know what areas you should focus your studying on. testprepreview.com also has some good practice test.

Thanks Mindy, I already ordered the Ati practice test and will take the first one tomorrow.

I just finished the ATI practice exam A. I only score 61.3 percent. My highest score was reading at 78 percent. I have been studying so much. We need at lest a 62 percent just to get in. If I got a 62 percent I would be at 75 points only. I am going to spend the weekend reviewing the study on my printout and study some more all weekend and test again on Monday.

How was the science part on the practice test? I have been taking multiple practice tests and that is the one I'm scoring lowest on....

Very random with a lot of chemistry and a lot chemical equations I scored 90 percent human body science but only 28 percent on the earth and physical science.

Hey Queen a lot of people score lower on the ATI practice test then on the actual test. Everyone I've talked to has scored higher on the real test, including myself. A lot of people think the ATI practice test are harder then the actual test. I however think it was about the same, but then again I don't think the same test is given to everyone. The most important thing is passing cause you can only take the test one time for RCC, but you can always bring up your other points you know? I think you have a good shot even with 75 points. From what I read on past threads a lot of people got in with 75 points got accepted.

Mindy I have read the same thing as well. I was just shocked at the difficulty of that exam. Not to mention I had a lot of distractions going on while I took the exam and timed it according to the amount of questions instead of actual time. For example, instead of giving myself 58 min for the math I gave myself only 34 min LoL. I did not realize what I did until after I took the exam. I am Christian so I have prayed and others are praying for me as well. I will do my part to review and continue to study but I am believing God to do the rest. Sorry if you are none believer, as I do not like to push my faith onto others, but God has been there for my through this whole journey, and has brought me this far. I believe the Lord will have a spot for me for the Spring as well. Amen! :D
