There is a wait time between 1 to 2 semesters per group, which means if u applied in sep. 2009 you might get in fall 2010.....doesn't mean you can't get in spring 2010 its just less likely. It all depends on the lottery number you receive and when you applied. :D

So, did you get into the Mt. Sac Nursing program? I'm starting my 3rd semester next week..!! I'm already freakin' nervous about it but the good thing is I'm getting closer to finishing.

yes i got in for fall, 2009, however, i had to defer a semester due to medical reasons and i am now starting spring, 2010!! i'm so nervous because i don't know what to expect.....most of all i'm nervous about pharm..........are u at mt. sac?

Hi Cabo.

Yup, I'm at Mt. Sac. Pharm is hard. :eek: The first 6 weeks are all math so if you're good at it, then you'll have no problem. Mr. R goes a little fast so it's best to know the entire blue book well BEFORE you start the class. KNOW the metric system. It's the basis of most of the quizzes. The last 6 weeks is pharmacology. That's when it gets harder. Just study. You'll be doing 1A and half of 1B at the same time so it can be quite demanding because because there is a quiz in each class every week.

Are you in the Monday or Wednesday group? I'm in the Wed. group. We start next Friday though for Pediatrics and go to clinicals on the weekends for about 5 weeks. What clinicals did you choose for 1A and 1B? Most of the clinical instructors are cool. :nurse:

Well, good luck and remember to study for those dosage calc tests. You need to pass with at least an 85% to continue in the program for EACH class. The first one is quite easy but the one for 1B is tricky so study, study, study!!

Lucky you guys! I am barely getting into my science pre requisites for applying for the program. They are so hard to get into now since the budget crisis. I cant wait to be starting as well! Good luck to you all! It is such a long and challenging journey but the greatest achievement!:yeah:

hi there...i will be starting this fall 2010 and from the time i applied nov 2008 to when we start it will be about 2 years. i also heard they were thinking about cutting the program down from 60 students to 50 students which may increase the wait time for some students, but i would check with the nursing counselors or the nursing department.
