My fiancee who is a graduate of Nursing in the Philippines will be coming here in US hopefully this year.I just want to ask if whats the best job for her while preparing for her NCLEX exam. She's afraid that when she'll be here in US, theres no job for her.Any advice or tips? What are the requirements? Any website for caregivers or med aides?

Not sure how retrogression will affect her. Check in the international forum. But if she is good to go for working in the US, she can do what other Filipino nurses do when waiting on licensure. Start out as CNAs, move on to LVN or RN when NCLEX is passed. No such thing as med aides in CA.

One of my friend in San bernardino worked as a med aide while reviewing for her NCLEX. Thanks for the advice.

How could your friend in San Bernardino work as a med aide when that designation is not used in CA? If so, then when did CA make the change? Nobody else talks about it. Would be interested in learning about this change to CA policy.
