Hi,

This is my first post! I wanted to see if anyone out there is applying to Loma Linda University School of Nursing for the winter 2011 quarter?? Or if anyone has had an interview or anything like that!

Thanks

This is actually one of my choices of schools. I still have a few pre-reqs to do. It's a great school some of my friends interviewed to go their for their pharmacy program and they liked the school a lot. I wish you luck!

thank you! I am finishing up my last 4 pre-req classes to get in. I already applied and interviewed...now I have to wait until the end of october to find out if I get in or not. When are you planning on applying? What classes do you have left?

I have my interview on thursday for Winter 2011. I have two pre-requisites left so I am hoping to get in or get on Spring waiting list. I am planning on retaking my teas this week to get a better score, but other then that I am hopeful since I talke dto the Dean already and asked her questions about teh program and the format of the program and choosing candidates.

Good luck on the interview! If you don't mind me asking, how did you do on your first attempt on the TEAS test? What did the Dean say about the selection process? I heard they accept like 54 students, for the fall quarter they pulled in 60.

I got a 76 on my first attempt with only studing the math section 2 days prior. I was told that most people who meet the requirements get in and if not they get on the following quarter. LLU is cmpetitive but not as much as other schools because of the cost. I graduated from CSUSB and now its terrible with the budget cuts so I only applied to LLU since its the only local school I want to go to since I plan on going on to their master's program straight getting my degree since I already have a BS from CSUSB. Good Luck to you in the process.

Hi guys! I have my interview tomorrow for winter quarter. Has anyone had their interview yet?

Good luck with your interview tomorrow calinurse! I had mine already. She is really nice, so nothing to worry about :)

Christi - Looks like you and I got the same score...how did you do in the science section?

I think I had a 68 in the science but I didn't have enough time in the math section. So I am debating re-taking it since my interview is this week. Does anyone know how much the teas score affects your overall cchances of getting in?

I think the science part was the worst! That was my lowest score and I thought I would have done worse in the math part, but that was my 2nd highest score. I know I was told that for LLU 75% adjusted score is passing. I believe they base alot of it off of your grades. I would double check with her when you do your interview, just to be sure. I am wondering if they will let you retake the TEAS even after you interview...I was thinking about it as well if it has a big impact on the selection process to try and bring up the score. Let me know how your interview goes tomorrow!! GOOD LUCK! It is nice to talk to others who are going through the same process for LLU :D

I will definitely let you guys know how it's goes. Any helpful hints?

Definitely know why you want to be a nurse, your goals in nursing, and tell them about yourself. I have a really hard time talking about myself...so I think I jacked that question up!! She is a really nice, so she makes you feel really comfortable.
