Hello Fellow New Grads!
Just wanted to start a post for LLUCH's RN Residency starting march 2014. What unit did everyone apply? Good luck everyone!

I also applied for NICU in April, no word yet, but the recruiter I spoke with said we wouldn't start hearing back until 3+weeks after the application date (April 15-16...so that puts us at 3 weeks this week)
I received an email this morning that my application was screened by a recruiter and forwarded to the appropriate manager

Hi missnurse18, I'm applying to the stepdown ICU/intermediate care at LLUCH for the August 2014 cohort. I am glad that you enjoyed the residency and I was wondering if you could plesae share a bit more about the unit? I am really hoping to get an interview and staying positive. Thanks =]
Anyone for the August cohort heard anything yet???

I got a call on June 13 saying that I was hired. Just not sure the next steps yet. I know it takes awhile since it doesn't start until August 4th.

Hi there, I accepted a PICU position in the august new grad program. I was so excited i forgot to ask a lot of my questions. can anyone give me some insight into the number of hours we will be working/training in the first couple weeks (trying to figure out my budget lol). Any random info/tips appreciated.

Hey! I was just hired for the PICU that starts March of 2015. I was wondering where the majority of the residents live? I am trying to decide if I can commute from somewhere or what is a reasonable drive? Any advice on locations others live would be great. I was also curious if you all had any suggestions on resources to buy and review that may help prepare me before oyr start date? Thank you!!
