LAC+USC interview new grad RN

Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you

i worked their for 7 years, passed the oral exam and still waiting, it's been 3 years, I hate to burst your bubble, but I couldn"t even get a job there, and I know some upper management, it's all about budget, and they don't have one, Good Luck i hope u get hired!

There are plenty of people on this site who posted that they got hired and already started working for county. I recently got hired & I'm looking forward to working for LA county. Sure it's going to take time but it does pay off at the end.

Hi! I got the job offer last July 16th and Y***** said that its gonna take atleast 6 weeks for someone to contact me for the livescan. From reading all previous posts I guess were in for a long wait..:( Im just wishing and praying that we get lucky somehow.. :) Let me know how your progress...

Pre-employment health appointment finished. I go back to get my health clearance on Thursday. Sorry for the play-by-play, I'm just excited. :D

Jeez, at this rate, you're going to be working soon! Shoot, maybe you can even be my preceptor on the unit....lol. Your live scan cleared so fast. I'm still waiting for the physical. When I called HR, the lady only said as soon as the live scan clears they'll call to schedule.

It can take btw 6-8 weeks. Yep, its a looong wait but it'll happen. The letter states you are eligible for ~6 months. I would call after 4wks to see if they have any results. Call the main HR for the Dept of Health Services (the same website where you submit application). Best of luck!

Mine took about 4 1/2 months to finally get to me. I heard it can take 6-8 weeks though, but for some reason mine took twice as long.

Thanks guys for the useful info ......After that u start calling facilities ...do u get response pretty quickly or again its a long wait

It depends on whether or not the facilities are hiring for any positions. Timing is everything.

I was offered a position in the ER as well, congrats. Did they offer you the F position? Did they explain what that means?
