Holy Names University LVN to BSN?! New program

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the new LVN to BSN program at Holy Names Univeristy. I think they just started it last year and I am applying this fall.

I'm not sure about how big the application pool was for this coming summer term..but from what I heard not many people apply for the summer term because it's summer! But for fall that's when the application pool is big cuz it's the typical time of yr people go to college...they called me to let me know I was in cuz the orientation date was scheduled for the following week..but I later received an official notice that I was accepted..there is only suppose to be 24 students that are accepted each term but we had 26 students in my class I think 2 were from the previous term who had emergencies and couldn't finish the rest of the semester so they had to retake the course..Good luck!!!

thank you for the update about the program so far. i was wondering if you start right away with the nursing courses and how long each nurse course lasts, for example: transition to role of rn, and fundamentals of nursing? do they overlap the courses or do one at a time? also was wondering how they base your grades for each course? if you are graded for attendance, homework, quizes and tests overall? or your grades are mainly coming from test scores? last question and sorry so many! where have you been doing clinicals at?

Hi some new info,

im Starting Summer 2012 program, I had my interview March 12, 2012 didn't get a call but got an email on April 13, 2012 saying I got into the program! and week later booked my orientation class. and my math placement exam

Anyway, so I have Anatomy, Transition to Rn, Math A, intra communications class for summer. Can Anyone tell me any info about this? teachers how are they??? what is the grading scale?

Mckenna the director is resigning this semester.

the School doesnt really guide you through this whole process....

I'll be starting in the summer of 2012. Feeling a little scared since I don't know much about the program. I'll be taking MathC,Transition to Role RN, Health Assessment and Contemporary World Religions. Anyone else starting this summer?

Hi! I know this is really late, but I just graduated at HNU recently and I'm in the process of studying/ applying for NCLEX. If anyone has any questions or needs help with anything regarding this school, I can tell you my experiences! Good luck!
