Holy Names University LVN to BSN?! New program
I'm not sure about how big the application pool was for this coming summer term..but from what I heard not many people apply for the summer term because it's summer! But for fall that's when the application pool is big cuz it's the typical time of yr people go to college...they called me to let me know I was in cuz the orientation date was scheduled for the following week..but I later received an official notice that I was accepted..there is only suppose to be 24 students that are accepted each term but we had 26 students in my class I think 2 were from the previous term who had emergencies and couldn't finish the rest of the semester so they had to retake the course..Good luck!!!

Holy Names University LVN to BSN?! New program
hi everyone! I just started in the spring for the lvn-bsn program here at HNU. After my interview, I heard from the school the same week. My interview was on a monday afternoon, then heard from them by friday. That was because my interview was rescheduled. So far so good! teachers here want you to pass, they help you out when you don't understand the material if not there's always the tutors. I also suggest forming study groups, it helps out alot. FYI: if you work full time, you might want to cut back on your work hours, especially if you'll be taking a full load. A lot of my classmates right now are having a hard time due to full time work and full time school. Since its a small school, I hope to be in some of the same classes as some of you! Good Luck!!!

Holy Names University LVN to BSN?! New program
Jrich3 Thanks! Please do let me know how it goes. Good Luck!! misscandy I agree with Jrich3, I would choose HNU over Unitek. At HNU, you'll receive a BSN as well as a public health certificate, the prerequisites are included in the program, but it costs $575/unit. With Unitek, you'll only have your ADN, have to take the prerequisites before enrolling and it costs about $40,000. and if you plan on working at a hospital like Kaiser, they only hire BSN grads.

LVN to BSN university ot phoenix
I was accepted to the UOP modesto LVN-BSN program and attended the school for 5 classes. I was in the waiting list for 2 years because I had no prereqs coming in, but others in my class were accepted as soon as they signed up also with no prereqs and NO experience as a LVN. This school is very easy if you get along with the teachers and classmates. You have to attend theory once a week and clinicals do not start till you actually start the nursing core classes. clinicals are about 50 miles radius from the school. Homework consisted of 350-700 word essays each week. The only two classes that provided a finals exam that was included in your grade was Math and English. All the other classes final exam consisted of individual presentation and 700-1000 word paper as well as a group presentation and 1500-2100 word group paper. Basically each week your doing a paper. Depending on the class whether it was a 5 week course or a 8 week course, you had potluck on each last class. It felt like I gained 20 lbs since I started. The good thing I liked about this school is they allow you to take some courses in a jc while taking a course at UOP. But it will not allow you to move into a different cohort. What I didnt like about this school is that even though it was once a week it was too far from me, although there were people who came from LA jus to attend once a week. Another thing I didnt like was how your grades were also depended upon your group mates. I also didnt like the fact that it takes 4 1/2 yrs -5 yrs just to finish. Anyways that was just my two cents
