Hey I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the new LVN to BSN program at Holy Names Univeristy. I think they just started it last year and I am applying this fall.
Thanks!!
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but deadline for Summer was March 1st...BUT they will consider you for Fall and that Deadline is June 1st. It is just more competitive for Fall. I know because I BARELY missed summer deadline. I applied in October, but my license didn't arrive in time for my application to be complete for Summer.
Well if you just sent it Monday, i think they will just roll it over for the Fall application deadline...I would call though just to make sure they know that you want the application for fall. Good luck to us both! haha I bet it's going to be cracking for the fall admissions as I know a whole heap load of people who are wanting to get in at that time.
Hi, does anyone know what the LVN to BSN interview is like for Holy Names University ? I have been called in for an interview next week. Just wondering if anyone knows what they will ask or anything that I should be prepared for. Really appreciate it.[/quoteFrom what I have been told by a friend of mine who went to an interview, they ask questions like: Why do you want to be a nurse? Why did you choose HNU? What are your goals educationally? And other questions along those lines. Hope this helps.
Hi, I just saw your post about Holy Names LVN to BSN program. I have an interview coming up and was wondering what kinds of questions they asked you, and is there anything that I should prepare for and/or bring with me. I would really appreciate any advice or tips that I can get. Thanks :}
hi everyone!
I just started in the spring for the lvn-bsn program here at HNU. After my interview, I heard from the school the same week. My interview was on a monday afternoon, then heard from them by friday. That was because my interview was rescheduled.
So far so good! teachers here want you to pass, they help you out when you don't understand the material if not there's always the tutors. I also suggest forming study groups, it helps out alot.
FYI: if you work full time, you might want to cut back on your work hours, especially if you'll be taking a full load. A lot of my classmates right now are having a hard time due to full time work and full time school.
Since its a small school, I hope to be in some of the same classes as some of you!
Good Luck!!!
Hey emejoy2006!
I called them and was told they had interviews till this past Thursday the 29th. By any chance have you heard any rumors if they had a bigger application pool this quarter?! Do they always call accepted applicants or do they also send letters? Sorry for all the questions. This waiting thing makes people so anxious!
How many people started with you?

I just sent in my application Monday and hopefully will get accepted for summer 2012. For those of you who got a call to interview for previous semesters, how long did that take from the time you applied? Would it be better to call the admissions department to verify application and transcripts made it along with scheduling an interview?
