has anyone heard from LLU for Fall 2013???

U.S.A. California

I was wondering when LLU will be inviting their applicants for an interview? Anyone who has been accepted, can you let me know the time frame of when the interview is and when you will be accepted for Fall? Thank you!!

CSUSB is the same. In order to retake a class you would have to have gotten a C-. If I were to retake some classes, I don't know what I should take. LL requires way more prerequisites than other schools. So I don't know if I should focus on LL prereqs or CSUSB prereqs? I know, thinking about a plan B, C, or D is so frustrating.. =/

Good luck to you ladies!

@shelly0821 thanks, did you get accepted!? :)

@Shelly0821 Thank you, and likewise have you heard anything?

@Makkara, Yeah I know I thought of re taking LLU's pre recs over, but then I calculated I would need to re do like 4 classes in order to have a 3.6-7....So I do not know. If I should just do a CNA program in the fall, Or take whatever class like Dev. Psych or another language or physical activity to boost it up.. =/ I know it is frustrating

Hey Steph, do you know if community colleges are competitive as cal states or LL? Oh, are you going to retake the TEAS?

Hey Makkara, yeah the CC's are fiercely competitive because they are so cheap. But since you have a high g.p.a I think you have a chance of getting into RCC's program. Though they only accept your first passing teas score. I'm applying to Valley as well, and they require the hesi test. But i think with your stats you can most def get in!! I was just notified by a classmate she got into rcc's program with 75 points out of 100, so I mean you should apply for the winter term, check out rcc's nursing page.

No I wont re take it since I passed RCC will only look at the first attempt =/

I didn't pass the TEAS on my first attempt.... :( I heard the HESI is less difficult than the TEAS.

Well you scored higher in your teas when you did pass, so you are OKAY : ) they just look at first passing score.... but yeah i hear also hesi is easier

Hey Steph. I am sooo aggravated. I called CSUSB & found out that I am not considered a student anymore because I didn't go to school for a year. So, I can't apply for their Winter program. I just want to hear some good news and now this process is more discouraging.

I wanted to ask you about some CC... so I am applying to Victor Valley, Chaffy, and maybe two more. Most CC websites only require GPA and TEAS? Is that the only thing you need to apply?

Hey Makkara... :/ I'm sorry to hear that girl. Can you re apply to CSUSB in the fall to get in for the following year?

Well as far I know Rcc's program requires the TEAS... http://www.rcc.edu/academicPrograms/nursing/files/ADNGeneralEducationrequirements.pdf

That is the classes they require. Make an appointment with the advisor for the program, she is really knowledgeable and she will tell you how many points you have or what you still need. I honestly think you will get in. Just call!!!

It's out of 100 points, my best friend recently talked with her and said if someone has 75 points they have a high chance of getting in.

Chaffey's program is by lottery, and they want the TEAS. I haven't really heard good things about this program and last time I checked on their website they want a Math class only they have, which is like a dosage calculations.

I have no idea how Victor Valley's program is

San Ber Valley's program doesn't require the Teas they want the HESI

Mt Sac, also wants the HESI, but they closed off their applications til Spring of 2014 to start Fall 2014 so thats quite a bit away =/

Pasadena CC wants the TEAS but they go off of lottery too. =/

So we need to take the HESI test for certain schools, We should just apply any ways right?

My back up plan is also to apply to Cal state San Ber, and get a B.S in Health(Public Health Education) and then do a Accelerated Nursing program or just do a Masters program in Nursing.... So If these nursing schools don't get me I have a chance of going to Cal State and going from there.

I was talking to my mom, the journey will be long and eventually we will get there!!

You always manage to make me feel better, thank you! Wow looks like you've done ALOT of research! I've tried calling Mt Sac but they never answer. Did you just get all this info online?

I really wish you would reapply to LL.. I know we were worried about tuition ( mostly me ) but I think I would be the most happiest there.. IDK. In the mean time I should probably study for the HESI

I want to reapply to llu's nursing program, too. But i don't know if they accept applications for spring14.

Also, im planning to apply about 10 nursing schools(most of them are community colleges).

You guys can try other community nursing programs :)
