I looked them up on the BVNPT website and saw that they are accredited. What disturbs me is that I could not find out anything about the cost of the program on their website. That info should be readily available. I wouldn't want to be a prospective student and have to call to get that basic info and possibly be forced to listen to a sales pitch.

It seems that Four-D College is a typical career college, operated almost exactly like a trade school.

I enrolled at four-d college, I start feb 08. It sounds like any other tech school, yes it cost about 25,000 and im 5,000 short on loans but hey hopefully it will all work out!

It is approved for vocational training only and may be accredited for the LVN training and taking of the NCLEX-PN exam.

But you should make sure that they are recognized if the nurse wishes to go on for their RN, not all of these programs have their hours and credits accepted. Do not know a thing about this program specifically, but always check out if one can transfer their credits to the next program if that is what they wish to do.

I have some insight as I have a good friend who works there. First I can tell you that they are one of the most expensive schools out there:down:. They do not post the information because they want you to come in to hear their sales pitch. Once you are in, they get you so excited about the program that you are stuck!

The program itself has its own issues.....staff turnover is amazing. I am not sure why, but they cant seem to keep any staff there. My friend says that she has a new teacher at least once a month?? Then the money that is provided in grants is wierd. The college holds your money for at least a month before distributing it (are they trying to grow interest on it?).

Anyway, if you could find another college, I would. This one is run by a shady administration and has too many issues. You can contact me if you have any other specific questions:D

I just joined this board and made a post regarding the same issues. The cost is outrageous compared to others around and the staff - well just dont get attached to anyone, especially your advisor (who you are supposed to lean on through the process) :bow: . Errgh I think you are right when you mention the administration:lol_hitti....they must have some serious issues because everyone is so unhappy all the time there.

I started and stopped the school shortly after I joined because I heard that they might be losing their accrediation :clown: due to some shady financial aid stuff:idntdt: . I dont know if it is the same thing that you mentioned above - but I am sure what you mentioned cant be legal either :eek: .

Anyone wanting to attend this school :redlight:- check check and recheck :typing to make sure that they arent going to take your money and run (as another school recently did to hundreds of students here). The funny part about that other school is that Four D lied to the students and said that they would help them finish the program which they had already started - oops they forgot to mention that the students would have to pay the full price :confused: .

I attended this school and I can also verify that the staff turnover is very high. I lost count of how many instructors I had. Also, the class has 2 different clinical sites, depending on where you live, and our class became divided, almost like we were on different "teams" and we never stayed for the whole time at clinicals, which some thought was pretty cool, but after you get thrown out into the real world, and you didn't get much clinical experience, it's not cool at all! They also promise lifetime job placement. I graduated in 2007 and have not had a job yet!! Calls to the placement dept are not returned and going there in person doesn't do much of anything.

I'm currently a student at Four-D College and I wholeheartedly tell you to please turn the other way. Their teachers are always quitting, I'm in module four, which is the last mod for the LVN program, and we've already had three different teacher--each module is only three months long!

Unfortunately I've already paid too much money to quit now. But if you do decide to enroll at Four-D College, be prepared to teach yourself. The instructors do not cover everything that they test you on and if you try and reason with them that the subjects on the tests were not in their curriculum, this is their answer: "You are responsible for everything, not just what I say up here".

At Four-D College, it's your word against the teachers, and unless your parents come and talk for you, you will not be heard. I am 25--25! AND I still needed to bring my mother in because they would not listen to my complaints. This might sound like I'm ranting, but I'm just trying to give you advice. If I would of been smart enough to research reviews on this school, I would of never of enrolled at Four-D College.

By the way, the price for their LVN course is now 28,000.00 dollars.

For their Medical Assistant, Massage therapy, billing and coding course, and Pharmacy tech is 12,000.00 dollars.

Aside from tuition, if you have to repeat a module, they charge and extra 1000.00 to repeat it.

oh my curlycurl89,Im enrolled in the next fulltime class in april. They could not answer my question I asked them, and the question was....Where do the Lvn's have their clinical practice at? They pretty much said all over the area. Ifnyou can can you tell me where you had your clinicals at. Good luck in your last module:thankya:
